On paper it is a solid team, the question will always be how well you do with those players.
the only one you "need" to replace would be Melancon, he is a cutter primary, which the idea is to paint the corners with it, but cutters are easy to hang, Melancons cutter is low 90s he cant get away with missing the spot like Mariano or Clase can.
I ll have a post later with some suggestions. -

Watch a video on how to flip cards and do that (if you have the time) it should make you about 15-30k every 20 min (or that's what it made me when I flipped, you can do even more)

It's not a bad team tho, definitely usable

I think your team looks pretty good. Your bullpen and pitching staff is a little weak but your position players are solid. I’d say your bullpen is your main priority to improve. Try to grind out the programs. Especially the extreme program.

Thanks guys for replying.
@PAinPA_PSN Yeah — I’ve tried out so many players and there are only a few that I’ve actually managed to get into a groove with. Melancon, for example does hang a lot of cutters but I don’t really see myself as No Money Spent spending 200k stubs for Rollie. Maybe Hoffman? Btw Melancon’s ERA with me is like 4. Not great but not terrible. It’s surprising but I’m generally a decent pitcher but it’s really hard for me to hit on Hall of Fame.
@lSlimBrighty_XBL I have flipped cards but I try as hard as a can not to spend way too long on this game. I flipped, got myself AL Live Series in about an hour and a half. I know being No Money Spent makes it hard to make stubs any other way than flipping, but I still try not to.
@tybud_PSN Ikr? Sometimes I grind programs and it’s just so boring sometimes. That’s partly why I roll with a team of players that I generally like using.
@MRAD2010_XBL lol I’ve done what you suggested. Since I’m a mediocre player (600-700 range) I’ve grinded programs like Extreme and it took me like a few HOURS to get Kerry Wood. The Extreme Showdown took so much out of me. -

-
I’ve always forgotten about the AS Jorge Lopez. I don’t have him but I think I can spare 15-25k stubs for him.
-
With the direction SDS has gone every year since about 19, I can't understand any reason why anyone would ever buy stubs. They basically grow on trees.

You'd be surprised by how many people don't realize how easy it is to attain stubs. Basic math is not a strength to a lot of people.

That's true. If they knew that they could flip their way to about 10K stubs an hour, they would realize they can easily make, like, 5K stubs in 3 hours.
-
Even me starting at 10k stubs can get to 250k in 1 hour. That’s also a main reason I don’t buy stubs — they are so easy to get.
-
I would grind extreme. Wood and Chapman could really help you out and you can obtain by just doing the conquest and a few moments. Then work on this current program. You really cant go wrong with any of them. Griffey, Ruth, Foxx, Vlad, Mauer would all be solid additions somewhere in your lineup. I dont know if you like Banks or not, but the Finest Larkin might be the biggest budget beast of the year. He was going for under 17k a few days ago. But as others say, it really is who you do well with. I would just grind for the free cards earned by doing the program, especailly if you are not concerned with the big collections. But defienly get Randy, he still might be the best pitcher in the game.
-
Yep all I need is degrom and scherzer for live series and I currently have 90k stubs.
-
I have tried Larkin. I’ve heard he’s fine on HOF but no good on Legend. Back when I was on all star was when I used Larkin but I like banks better. I might just switch to Larkin for the 50k stubs though… thx
-
I switched Mark Melancon for Blake Treinen, Ernie Banks for Larkin, and Ford with AS Alcantara
-
And I also have the 99 overall herds legends
