Custom Roster/Franchise Inquiry?
-
I just want to know when you load a custom Roster when you start in Franchise, why does it not keep that custom Roster intact after you click on Regular Season to start in Franchise? Say for example, I loaded a custom Roster from the vault into Franchise and I picked the Pittsburgh Pirates to start the Regular Season. After I clicked on Regular Season, Jameson Taillon was still on the MLB Roster. But before I clicked on Regular Season and viewed the custom Roster, he was in AAA where he should be now. If anyone can clarify this with me, I would appreciate it and thanks.

For some reason it simulates a spring training period and then the CPU makes its own roster adjustments. Its incredibly annoying

Is there a fix for this or no?

Yes, you can get rosters, lineups and rotations to stick.
During spring training it brings all the guys on your 40 man to the mlb level if you start with a 40 roster or it will auto populate the 40 man if you start with a 26 roster. At any point during Spring Training go to the roster section within franchise and for all 30 teams drop the guys back down to the minors to where they were originally, it will use an option but when you advance to the regular season all the lineups and rotations stick. I don't care about the options getting used because I don't carry over year to year. I used 2 profiles, my profile and a cpu profile when starting the franchise. 29 teams on the cpu profile. You can pick and choose which game specific options are on auto and which are on manual for the profiles. You set up the profiles outside of franchise.
Originally before starting the franchise I altered Ridins roster following the fan graphs projections website to get all the lineups, bench warmers and pitching rotations. While I was at it I dropped all players with attributes over 99 back down to 99, fixed Tulo's age from 25 to 35, and added all the missing HR celebrations for players with their names in the list of celebrations to choose from. Then using the mlb website , to the best of my ability I corrected the 40 man roster, some players were missing but i filled in the gaps, it's not really a big deal.
As far as the few players that start on waivers, I purposely left them in AAA to begin with and then in Spring training once they were auto added to the mlb level like everyone else I added them to the lineups as needed.
Edit: The only thing I couldn't figure out how to do was get Ohtani in the DH spot but oh well.
