60+ hours of work later and I am finally done!
When I first started this, I was thinking it would be a quick project for my franchises, but as I started working on it, I thought it would be best to put a good amount of work into it and share it with everybody. I honestly think this is the best roster available for hardcore sim franchise players.
Here are the roster features that make it unique:
-Every team's top 10 prospects (MLB Pipeline)
-Most of every team's top 15 prospects are included and a good majority of each team's top 30
-I created a "tier" system for player ratings based on their current level (MLB/AAA/etc.) and their actual performances
-For MLB players, I used fangraphs WAR as an indicator for what their current overall should be, supplemented by some other analytics like wRC+/FIP/etc to be as accurate as possible
-For MiLB players, every level has a ratings spread that players fall into. Based on their performance at a certain level, that's how I determined their overall. I also included ETA into my calculations to generate roughly accurate timelines to being MLB ready in the game
-Potentials for both MLB players and MiLB players were generated based off of perceived "future roles" for younger players who are not in their primes yet and "past roles" for older players who are declining, but still good players
-The tier system for current overalls creates more balance across the rosters. When you start your franchise, "elite" and "very good" players should feel more like that, while "average" players should all clump together performance-wise.
-The balance in the potentials does a multitude of things. For one, it extends the life of franchises because it should prevent a massive gathering of players in the mid to upper 80s where suddenly anybody who isn't a "B" potential is useless. Two, it should create a logjam of players in the low to mid 70s. These players are maybe just good enough to be on MLB rosters, but there isn't necessarily anything that separates them from most everyone else. Just like the real majors, there's a lot of fringe guys on rosters and a lot of turnover. Additionally, every now and then, one of those fringe guys breaks out and becomes a long term piece. The Show's dynamic potential system should help make that be a more realistic thing. Meanwhile, players in the upper 70s are considered "average MLB starters" so they should make long careers out of those roles.
-Edited RPs and CPs so that current and future CP level pitchers are actually in those roles. No more random guys labeled as CP, only guys who could actually fill those roles
-Fangraphs has a "new pitch tracker" every year. I took a look at the 2020 list and adjusted certain pitchers accordingly.
I also want to give credit for the base roster to mkharsh33.
I implore everyone to at least take a look at it. I think it will be very well worth your time. I also will happily take any feedback you want to send my way. I'm curious to see if there are deficiencies and areas I can improve on. Also be sure to leave a like when you download so others can see it!

Hope you all enjoy. Can't wait for this quarantine to be over and to get to the real baseball.
I've got to be honest, I've been more and more underwhelmed with Ridin's minor league rosters every year. This year, I thought maybe since he was working with SDS he would step it up a notch, but it doesn't seem like that at all. I still found more than a few egregious errors and missing players that absolutely should have been included.
In conjunction with that, the base SDS roster has plenty of flaws as well. Due to these issues, I usually take a good amount of time to edit the rosters to my liking before starting my multiple franchises. Last year I posted them in my vault and got some decent responses, so I thought I'd make them available again this year.
I am currently working to finalize them as quickly as possible. I'm getting antsy to start my franchises myself. I'm hoping to have them done this weekend for everyone to use. This post is just a heads up for those hardcore sim guys who want realistic rosters. Here are some of the features that will be included in my roster set:
-Every team's top 10 prospects (MLB pipeline) are included (not included in base rosters) -Most, if not all, of team's top 15 prospects are included (average of 14 per team) -Prospect overalls are more accurate according to the current level they are at, how well they're playing, and their ETA for MLB arrival -More balanced potentials (potential ratings scaled based on future projected roles; less "A", more "B", even more "C") -Edited major leaguers to scale OVR to current roles and adjusted potentials in a similar fashion to minor leaguers (Note: most MLB players will actually be left unedited minus potential alterations)
The hope of this roster is to create a more balanced sim experience while also getting even more top prospects available to play with. Keep an eye on my vault at "ViatorLion10", but I also will post here when I have them ready.

Some want to go out and drink but are too young? You want a refund for this? Also, how can you get ages wrong on your players? This is such a simple thing and an inexcusable oversight. It just really goes to show how little they care. Combine that with their ineptitude with the vault, and its just enough. We the players deserve better than this garbage we've been given If I was a franchise only player I think I would only play OOTP baseball. I might grind TheShow all day and play online ton. (I would rather watch paint dry than pitch and hit against CPU players) But I still make sure to get at least 2 hours of OOTP 22 in at night before bed. I currently have a GM franchise for 1 expanded league with 2 new fictional expansions teams. I have my Historical Franchises, and 1 Challenge Mode franchise. As much as I love the show for an action sim, when it comes to franchise, they don't even compare to OOTP However, I am not mostly a franchise player. I prefer head to head competition more than single player modes. That's why most of my time is spend on TheShow.

See the thing is I still want to actually play the game as well. What SDS continues to fail to realize is there's still a large following of hardcore sim players who want both the game experience AND the strategy experience.
I don't see why it is so hard to just give your most dedicated base (franchise players) at least some of what they've been asking for.
Having the correct [censored] ages shouldn't even be asked for. It should be give without question and its insulting as a consumer
Poorly rated potentials on top prospects
Welcome to minors rosters with Ridin'. I'm in the minority here, but I think Ridin' is entirely overrated
I'm still holding out hope I can get another volunteer or two. The project is going to be well worth it I can tell you.
Because I'm a franchise player and I play the game for a realistic simulation. It's already bad enough that franchise falls short of expectations every year, this is just the final nail in the coffin
This is honestly inexcusable. It looks like every single non-MLB player has the wrong age, with countless having their age off by 2 years. What's worse is we can't even edit the players to get the ages correct which is a joke.
I'm seriously disappointed by the roll-out of this game. I'm probably going to look into getting a refund of some kind from the PS Store because this is borderline bait and switch at this point.
I have been buying it every year myself, but the last couple years I have seriously considered not doing it. However, SDS has done a couple of things the past couple years to bring me back. Hopefully they continue that trend of improving franchise every year

If I may ask because I'm curious, with the inclusion of Ridin's Full Minors Rosters and the True Sim Roster Project, what is it that your roster could bring to the table that those can't?
So happy that you asked.
First off, Ridin's rosters don't offer anything more than a base roster for other creators. His creation of MiLB players is great and he does a great job with likeness and equipment, but his ratings and potentials are very poorly executed. Additionally, he does not edit any MLB players.
Cycloniac's TrueSim project is fantastic, I'm actually a fan. However, I still think that it falls short in a few areas. Mostly there's more than a few disagreements I have with some of his ratings of players and some of his potentials feel a little out of whack. He also still doesn't go into a lot of depth in terms of adding a lot of top prospects.
Now for mine specifically:
The first thing for my set is prospects. So. Many. Prospects. Every team's top 30 (per MLB pipeline) is included. Then, I created a tier system based on player roles (e.g. "average", "all-star", "AAAA", etc.) for potentials to balance out the league and make "elite" players stand out and to have a logjam of players in the 72-78 overall range (which equates to roughly average).
For my attribute ratings, much like Cycloniac, I am using real world stats. However, I'm taking it up a notch. I did a lot of in game testing to determine what attribute levels will equate to what statistics (e.g. a contact rating of 60 will have a player hit .250, which is roughly league average BA). By doing this, I created standard curves and got equations to where I can literally just put in a player's real world stats, and the output will be an in-game value that should roughly replicate his numbers in the game.
So that's what I can offer over other roster creators. However, it is a very extensive process that I cannot alone conquer myself. It's simply too much work. So that's why I am seeking any help I can get. I have a step-by-step editing guide and excel file with all the necessary equations set up, I just need someone to input the statistics for teams (I am already taking on about 5-10 which is a project itself).
I'm still looking for help guys! I honestly believe this could be a great roster set, but I just can't do it alone

I am still looking for a couple more volunteers to help out! It would be great to get at least 3 more people to cover 3 more divisions, but any help would be appreciated. I've got an entire step-by-step plan that'll help fast track your edits in an unbiased manner.
On that note, I also want to provide an update on how my system is translating to attribute ratings. I am a die hard Cubs fan, so I took the NL central as a division to edit. I have finished with the preliminary stats gathering and wanted to share some of the ratings from the key players on the Cubs to give you guys insights into how the ratings work and get a little feedback.
Remember, I have tested these values in game so they translate to real world stats. So while some of these ratings may be surprising, you may be surprised how accurate they end up being in-game.

Project is moving along slowly but surely! More help is still needed to reach the finish line quickly and with high quality.
Everything you'd need to do your edits has been laid out in a simple step-by-step format. All you need to do is collect the necessary statistics.
