Restart a position help PS5

Is there any way to restart a position/player with beginning stats? My 2nd base player is in the 7th year. I wanted to start a whole new player. I deleted my old 2nd base player and created a new player. When I started RTTS with him, he was an OVL 98. All my stats were from the old player. I understand gear and such but why stats? I can't build a new position after deleting the old position player? I want to go through the building stats, not start as the best player already. Thanks for any help in this.

I sounds like you're talking about MLBTS 21, if so, no there isn't.

In 22 you can just delete the old save and ballplayer and start a new one. Heck, you don't even need to delete, just use a new slot when starting.
