I'm sure there will be some big names in this program but of the teams they've announced, Only the Yankees really have a few big names without 99s.
O's- Brooks was all that was left.
Blue Jays- I guess they could have gone Delgado or Halladay.
Red Sox- It was either Cy or Jim Rice
Rays-Boggs was the only option
Royals- Saberhagen only option
White Sox - either Durham or Konerko
Guardians- Lofton? I think Lee is as good as anyone
Tigers- either Trammel or Kirk Gibson
Twins- Mauer I guess though his 96 is pretty good.So unless I'm missing something, the Yankees are the only team that had big boys available to drop and ironically it seems like Posada is the one most people are excited for.
Now I agree, if the other 4 divisions look like this, it's a little flat. But I'm guessing we'll see some big names like- Vlad Sr, Joe Morgan, Hank Aaron, Jimmie Foxx, Tony Gwynn, Honus Wagner, Stan Musial etc etc. We shall see I suppose.

It will be interesting to see what the stats look like. Posada is probably a must have but then the second pick (assuming we get 2) is questionable. Greene is probably ok, Brooks was ok last year but they won't play over the 10 OF or 5 3rd basemen most of us have. This promo looks really geared to die hard fans of a particular team. Though not sure Ray's fans are pumped up about Boggs lol. Central looks a little better, especially if they juice Hunter, they always seem to dog him on speed and defense. Lee and Saberhagan could be useful. Durham is a switch hitting 2nd baseman with speed, but better than Jackie, Roberts, Cano or future Sorianno?

It just gets boring that they keep recycling the same players. I know they probably need to make license deals, but it would be fun if we saw some new players in these programs.
