Why not Maris?

I would really love for San Diego Studios to unveil a Roger Maris Awards card, If we can get multiple different Babe Ruth and a Mickey Mantle cards, the least they could do would add at least one Maris card to the fold. He was one half of the original "bash brothers." I just think it would be awesome to have Mantle and Maris together on my squad.

They don't have the rights I'm guessing but he seems like good one to get rights for.

Hopefully they'll eventually get the his rights. Can't have a true stacked multi-era Yankees team without him.

Mantle’s 98ovr is a good a 1961 Topps. It would be nice if they are able to get his rights. A card representing his HR record would be awesome if they hooked it up!

How Roger Maris is not in the Hall of Fame is beyond me.
The fact of the 61 in 61 is purely enough in Baseball lore -

Lol, they aren't gonna unveli any new super star legends when the game/season is almost over. They obviously still don't have his rights. True it would be nice to have him along with dozens of others. But they aren't here. At least not yet.

Is baseball licensing/rights different than the NBA and NFL? Baffles me how the ONLY MLB video game has such trouble getting legends in their game, but 2K and Madden seem to have literally everyone.

My friend plays Madden pretty regularly as well as The Show and he says the same thing about how some of the other sports games have so many more legends than MLB.
It would be awesome if we had Roger Maris along with Scott Brosius. Throw in Shane Spencer while you're at it.
