Now, I’m no conspiracy theorist, but I have no doubt the game engineered two runs for my opponent just now.
I’m even kind of ok with it. I still won the game.
Maybe my bats suddenly went cold in the second inning after scoring 6 in the first. Maybe my opponent was better able to control his reliever.
Nevertheless, when I handily strike out his leadoff guy in the third, and get his next guy to roll over a ground ball to short, maybe Polanco throwing it into the stands is on me. I mean, his arm accuracy is only 61. Maybe the fact that Villar hits the next pitch over the wall is on me as well. Daniel Hudson’s BB/9 is only 53 and his control is 47, plus the changeup he hung is his fourth best pitch.
I still think it is really to be expected in a situation like this. After all, I’m sure my opponent feels slightly better about losing 6-2 than getting no hit 6-0.
Like I said, I’m ok with it.

Ehhhh, I have a hard time blaming throwing errors on conspiracy. Now if you had the throwing meter on and it randomly threw away a good green throw, then you have a case.
I didn't use throwing meter all of last year, and I threw away a ton, but I knew it was useless to complain because it was my choice to not have throwing meters on, this year I do and I'm not throwing away anything.

That’s a fair point. I figure learning to pitch with analog this year is enough for me to handle right now, but as I said, I’m ok with it.

If only SDS can make the pitching meter the same as throwing meter. There would be no more missed spots.

You know, the other side of this is that I’ve been that guy getting dominated by a better player. I’ve definitely benefited from a one out error/gift to give me hope in the last.
Now were all my opponents also using buttons or missing their throws?
Maybe.

I mean, that's just speculation though, which doesn't prove or help anything.

True. I’m really not conspirational. I have no doubt that something in the game is there to keep things close. I mean, in older versions of the game, it was an option, like “hard mode”.
Now it’s just occasionally apparent in conquest stronghold matches, showdown, certain moments, etc.
Now do I need to be able to shut the door on my opponent when I’m ahead? Yes.
