Server maintenance??

Online is down for server maintenance on ps5. Was there one scheduled for today? I know there was one yesterday.

I just beat Randy in Showdown Extreme and then right when I went to get my rewards I got the server maintenance error. Complete BS! There was absolutely no in-game notification about this at all!!!

Yep server is down they really need to start doing maintenance at 2 am PST cause the 4 am is just wrong on so many levels. 2 morning in a row I couldn’t play with the limited time I have to play in the morning cause of thereBS first an update now server maintenance. What did they find that the patch broke. They never disclose why there is always so much server maintenance. They are never transparent.

No matter what time they do it somebody is going to be inconvenienced. I'm sure the people who deploy the patch are not choosing 4:00 am their time because that is more convenient for them.

Well considering that it is always 4:00 PST and they are in San Diego it is convient for them cause it is when most people should be off the server on the West Coast. The fact is that most of world is 1 or more hours ahead of the West Coast. If they pushed it back to 2am PST that would be 5am EST and would be perfectly acceptable for probably 80-90% of the games audience.

Neither one of us can say for sure when their least active time is. I have seen posts after a downtime complaining that they were in the middle of a game and was cut off. I personally would bet that more people stay up and play late than those who wake up and play early.
But since neither of us know for sure then we, or at least I, have to believe that SDS has the data to show what hours are the most busy and which are the slowest and are scheduling accordingly.

The bottom line is that there is no reason they can't send an alert to the game -- the way they do when an Update is available -- giving people warning that the server is about to go down, say, in two hours, then an hour, then 15 minutes, etc. I was in the final inning of the Extreme Conquest win 5 territories before 5th turn when it cut out. It was infuriating. And, I'm sorry, but I don't check Twitter constantly. Provide in-game warnings! It's inexcusable not to.

Exactly!!! I just beat Randy Johnson in Extreme Showdown and it was about to go to the 8/8 completion screen when the server timed out. I logged in this morning and it said it was incomplete and it would be counted as a loss! That is complete BS by SDS!!!

Oh, man, sandule, that's terrible! That's even worse than my story. At least it just didn't count the game, and I was able to go back and win it and complete Conquest. But Extreme Showdown?! Ow, that really hurts. So sorry to hear that. SDS really needs to fix this. It's not hard. Just send a [censored] notice to people playing the game on line.

Yes it really sucked and I was super pissed off. Of course no reply from SDS so I just went ahead and tried again until I beat it. And now with the Showdown Extreme rewards collection BS with the Program XP, SDS are really shooting themselves in the foot.
