Hey I’m posting this here for the new players that might have started playing the show consistently last year or even this year. Now I’m no MLBTS legend or even one of the veterans of this gaming Franchise but I would like to say I’m better than the average player and can hang with some of the better players in the game. This forum is me sharing some tips that’s I’ve received from a separate forum, and also me sharing some things that have worked for me so far. Vets feel free to move on from this post or (if you feel like it) correct my wrongs and suggest better ideas.

    Ok here we go.

First off you need to learn patience! It’s a huge part of the game. This game is a chess match, one wrong move and you can risk losing the game. A series of wrong moves you might as-well close the app.

You do not have to spend your $$$ to get a good team. If you play the game casually you can have a good squad if you play consistently you can have a great squad.

You can upgrade players on your squad by completing the parallel XP requirements. (Go to player, hit player card, go to parallels) that will increase your players attributes.

The community is here to help you! don’t be afraid to ask questions and create forums. I have never seen a community look out for each other the way the MLBTS community does.

Be careful in the market place! Do your research! The last thing you want to do if over pay for a card, or undersell one of yours. If people suggest to wait to buy WAIT TO BUY( and vice versa ). I know it looks like a great card now but there may be something better in a week or two.

Some people prefer certain stats over others. I will share with you mine.

I make sure that every player on my squad has a vision of at least 85.

Two hitting categories at 100 or above. A minimum fielding of 90 and reaction of 90 (unless they play Cather or first base )

A minimum speed of 70 (unless they are first base)

My pitchers a K/9 and H/9 of at least 100 or higher. And a velocity of 95 or higher.

I like to keep 2 power hitters (one LH & one RH) and 3 speedy players on the bench. Make sure the 3 speedy players can play every infield position and the other the outfield position. I do this just to be safe you never know who you might have to punch run.

This was very long but I hope you can appreciate what I’m trying to do. And I hope whoever reads this finds it helpful and supportive. I want to thank all the players that have helped me over the past few days with questions You guys are goats!! And I hope we can get a game in !

Good post with lots of solid information. While I agree with you about patience I also feel like that is probably my biggest issue with the game. Way too much time waiting around for the CPU to throw a hittable pitch. This isn’t real baseball it’s a video game and most of us just want to hop on, have some fun, and get back to our everyday lives. Sitting and watching pitches, of which I’d say 25% at most are hittable, does not make for a good use of our time.

I 100% agree with you one of the most annoying things is waiting for the CPU to throw a pitch. And the game definitely has its highs and lows, like when you make solid contact and hit a line out or or a very early swing going the distance. But again I totally agree that sometimes I just want to hop on and play a couple games
