Jeter incoming?

This first tease isn't the main program reward. It's the one you are going to be forced to P5

I’m a Sox fan and respect the [censored] out of Jeter. That said I agree, he’s too big of a name to drop later in the game. He’d have be released like Randy this year. If they locked him behind extreme events it would be the biggest troll job ever. Probably a nail in the coffin for MLB 22

Agreed. Jeter would be the type of guy that is a game seller. They would heavily market his involvement to hype preorders. He'd get some low diamond pre-order card like Utley/Mo/Mantle/Randy have in the past and a program probably.
-
My first guess would be Tom Seaver but I am almost never right with my guesses so do with that what you will

Yeah, Jeter is a selling the game guy. He's a cover guy. Dropping Jeter with no announcement in Extreme, would not be a smart move.

Seaver being locked behind extreme might cause an uproar though.

Could be Arrieta.

True but no matter who it is there will be people who freak out. They had a beast Gehrig as the final reward in 20.

Going with another guy who won the Cy Young with the Cubbies. I'm going with Greg Maddux.

I know, I struggled mightily to get the Gehrig, pretty good chance its another Yelich or Lorenzo Cain on that rewards path.

I think Kerry Wood
Would love to see any of the 3. Arrieta, Maddux, Wood.

Wasn't a FS one of the big rewards in the Extreme program a couple years ago? If the blue and gold is actually a hint, I guess it could be a 99 Bobby Witt Jr. He was the top prospect leading to 2022, so I wouldn't be surprised if they chose him as being a reward way back in like February or whatever.
EDIT: Oh wait I just saw the tweet and it looks like a pitcher (but position players throw the ball too, so I guess that doesn't mean anything). And it looks like Wrigley.
-
After slogging through “The Captain”, I can confirm: Jeter is even worse of a human being than he was a defender.

I actually came off liking the guy, and he torched my Mets. I think he finally showed some humanity as he was so vanilla when he played.

For what its worth, the Volpe 99 BR reward teaser had him throwing the ball as well so its not like SDS hasn't used that misdirection before.
Could be a 99 Bobby. It could be a 99 Banks. They might continue their horrible decisions and give us a Bret Saberhagen (blue/gold image ...away team at wrigley?)
Expectations is 99 Kerry Wood....milestone 20k card?
I hope its a pitcher, especially if its the one you need to P5 because it would be a lot easier.

It's not Saberhagen. They take those images straight from the game. It would be comically obvious if it was the slenderman

Yeah, I didn't think it would be...more poking fun at the recent releases and mistakes theyve made on some of these legend drops. Basically dropping decent cards for June timing in late August.

I heard a rumor that Saberhagen actually ate part of a sandwich sometime in the early 80s, but tbh that doesn't sound very believable to me.

He might have just picked the lettuce and tomato off and took a couple bites of that. There's no shot he ate a bite of meat or bread
