Exhibition against CPU?

Can you play against the CPU in exhibition mode? I am on my Xbox Series X and I select exhibition mode, Toronto Blue Jays on left for home team I want to control and Tampa Bay as visiting team but cannot see how to make them CPU controlled. I can't figure it out. Thanks.

Just pick your team and select opposite team also. Leave your controller to the side of your team, the other team will be able automatically controlled by the CPU
