Yikes. Well at least we got those guys out of the way.
I mean I would take all 5 over the 5 we got in the FOD program. Henchmen is the only reasonable place you can put guys like this
That was a Classics pack, if you are speaking of the one with the Muncy AS card, FS Mountcastle, etc. This program had 9 Different 99 cards, which you can get four. The next program seems to be more like the programs of the prior games where you get a Henchmen choice pack and a Boss choice pack with three Bosses.
Either way, I agree that the 5 henchmen sound better than the 5 classics from this program. But I don’t think this program was a fail. I do wish I had more time. It seems though people complained when they made them 4 weeks long. So they really cut it down. The content has been fairly steady, and we reached the 99 overalls in the programs now.Sorry, I know I got away from your point.

If fielding mattered Keith would be more valuable.
He is an 80’s guy who put the ball in play and could hit and run. You know… Baseball things that helped two teams win WS.

Classics packs are still henchman. They are just wrapped differently. If you do PXP missions for program XP, it's a henchman. Even if I compared it to the all star program these are nice cards

These cards are for collecting only. 95% of the card releases are at this point.
These aren't henchmen. These are "can't even make the bench" men.

95 Awards Keith Hernandez, 96 Finest Andrelton Simmons, 96 Finest Troy Percival, 95 Milestone Harold Baines, 96 Milestone Robin Roberts
Love the 95 Baines card last year. that will be my pick.
-
They’re henchmen. They’re not SUPPOSED to be replacing starters in your lineup. They’re there for bench bats, theme teams, and filling out collections.

First boss is definitely Ripken (sadly unusable with that swing).
Not a great start. 2 more to go.
4 more to go

Is this who I think it is?
Also, I agree they aren't the Nostradamus exciting names but I love that Henchmen are playing a role in these programs. Every so often I stumble on a good one like Arenado, Vogelbach or Mountcastle.

This is reason #6 why I prefer offline. Nobody has a prohibitive swing or pitch selection or are unusable because they don't have Outlier or aren't fast enough. Most players are fun to use offline.
I totally get that most of you prefer online for the challenge, definitely not knocking it. But I enjoyed Ripken during TA2 last year and like with many other cards, was blissfully unaware that they don't play well on HoF or Legend.

Wrong. Live content schedule says THREE bosses and five henchmen.
Last I checked, 3 - 1(Ripken) = 2 more to go. Like I said.

I play probably 80% offline and there are still some swings that are unusable even at Rookie. Ripken is one of those for me.
Glad you like him.

His swing could be fixed. I’m not sure if anyones tried his lower cards or if he even has any but a lot guys have better swings this year.

That's my hope. Ripken and Griffey were probably my 2 favorite non-Red Sox players growing up, so I'd love it if they fixed his swing.

You got a point. Just different wrapping. I wonder if we will get more than one of new henchmen packs. I guess we will be playing the new program soon.

I think for all of these type of programs it's been pick 3 buy 2. I expect at least 2-3

I play mostly offline as I am not that great of a hitter for online but Ripkens swing was terrible when I selected him when he was a boss for a program a few years ago. I ended up not using him at all and I think I had like 100+ at bats with him.
I think my favorite swing in the game is Votto's or Foxx. Both hit bombs for me. I beat every showdown mission in this program's showdown with votto.

Anything released that isn't a juiced future stars card is a win in my opinion.

I love using Percival. Glad to have him in the group. Keith Hernandez will be a nice bench bat on my Cardinals theme team.
I actually almost forgot Hernandez played for the Cardinals, didn’t he win a WS with them too? I just don’t see you replacing Pujols or Goldschmidt at 1B. I get it though, I like using all types of cards. They don’t have to be the best. I don’t know if he plays any other position, or would you just use him strictly to PH?
That was my first thought as well. Even Jordan Walker I believe has a 1B secondary. He will probably make my bench.
Would have preferred to finally get a Lou Brock Cardinal card.

Yeah, I have never been able to hit well with Ripkin when I chose him in the past.
