Stricter Roster Updates?

Do you think we will see roster updates be a little more strict again?
I remember a few years ago this game was hard on people going Diamond, now, it seems like every 2 weeks or so we have a new group going Diamond. But then the next update they go back down. (See Kevin Gausman)
I’m a Braves fan, I don’t think Acuna went Diamond in his rookie year, but I could be mistaken.
But JRod goes Diamond as a rookie in just 4 months of MLB play? Not saying he doesn’t deserve it, but always thought they were much more strict in the past.
Just a wondering thought…

I doubt it. Its been like this since MLB 20. They went extreme on the updates to make up for the shortened season and they really never looked back

Last year was the start of regular massive upgrades and downgrades. It’s not like how it used to be for sure but I think this is the new normal.
I miss back in the 16-17 days where being a Diamond or having a Diamond card really meant something. Especially pulling them in packs. Now it’s just a quick 3k usually.

I'm so old, I can remember when they kept Judge a gold his entire rookie season. The player base let their feelings be known about the situation and I think SDS adjusted their upgrade trigger accordingly.

The 400 and 600 overall 80 and 81 golds kill Ballin packs. Same wuth the 85-86 Diamonds.

Are you referring to the new quick sell or lowest prices for each overall rating rather than 1000 stub golds, 5000 stub diamonds? I’m not a fan of it so far. I hate paying 10K for a 92 overall card for a collection that I probably will never use either. So yeah, so far it is annoying on both ends of the spectrum.

But then the next year, if you bought the deluxe version you got a 99 Judge.
