You cant tell me this game isnt broken at times

Yeah I lost.
Theres no way the game wasnt forcing a loss here.
My opponent gets a broken bat bloop hit with one out. Then he hits a soft routine grounder to Utley and it eats him up. Then he hits a homerun.
Over the next 3 innings I square up on 4 balls that die at the track. Perfect-perfect liners going straight to outfielders.
He bloops one to right, steals 2nd, then another broken bat hit scores him.
I'm just done I quit. GeT bEtTeR

You mean all the time. This is the absolute worst version of this game, probably ever! It’s just trash. It’s all cpu controlled. Up 5 going into the 7th? Don’t worry the cpu will make sure that very late swing on a 100mph inside fast ball to a righty ends up over the 3rd baseman and in front of the left fielder. And then there will be some perfectly ill timed animation that will cost you 2 or 3 runs. Then with perfect pinpoint pitching… your next three pitches will still be left over the plate and now where you placed it. It’s trash, it’s uninstalled. This app is too follow. I understand it’s baseball. But also understand that it isn’t real baseball. It’s a video game. It’s supposed to be fun. It’s not that at all. But everything apparently is working as they intended it. So I’m done with it. Glad to see I’m not the only one. I wonder if SDS noticed the amount of quit games has definitely significantly gone up this year.

Yeah this game is an embarrassment, these gameplay creators are bottom of the barrel and are dragging the company down. Great job by the content team but my goodness these creators for the gameplay are terrible.

Game feels predetermined from the beginning. Ranked is a bloop fest snooze and events are just outright RNG dominated trash. You won’t get a lot of support on the forum but the majority knows this game needs a major overhaul. Or you know at least try to fix something. Content only goes so far

I definitely agree. There are times where I have the lead, and as weak a hitter as I am it is infuriating to see the AI gift the player the win. I have enough trouble beating the other player. I shouldn't have to beat the AI too.
Example. I am pitching a total gem with a 2-0 lead, then suddenly if I miss the perfect release by even the tiniest fraction the pitch goes a mile from where I aimed for, and even if I do hit the perfect release it's still not that close to what I want, causing me to go further into the strike zone where the player they feel deserves the free win can hit the no doubt homer and I lose.

Yep, just happened to me. Guy couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat and then gets to very late bloop hits then proceeds to golf a sinker inside and in the dirt for a three run hr in the bottom of the 8th. I don’t mind losing but when your losing to the [censored] AI that’s an issue. Plus every ranked game is like that now. Everyone I play it’s absolutely no offense the whole game until the AI decides it’s time for someone to score off some BS

I’m convinced the Gameplay team @ SDS wouldn’t even know how to use the Microsoft doodle pad. No way they should be creating any type of gameplay for the only baseball game on the market.

Its crazy to me that MVP 2005 had smoother fielding, hitting and gameplay with weaker technology...2005!

It seems like a real baseball game doesn't it?
Bret Baty had a ball eat him up, he recovered and threw a wide throw to first. He made two errors on the same play. Seems like real baseball.
This game plays alot more realistically then any baseball game I've played.

Of course it is. This is only the 10000 post about it. Bottom line is twitch creators are bashing it and content is less and less, McGunski doesn’t even stream anymore and puts out a video once a week. Kyle is Kyle but like him or not he’s been a huge ambassador for the game and he’s slams it. Ray Cheesy who is the nicest guy there is has started speaking out. Bottom line 2022 is garbage. They’ve said they have fixed things but really haven’t. But you have to accept it at this point. It sucks. I’m not going to stop playing every time I fire my Xbox or PS5 up I expect the unexpected. I hope 23 is better or MVP Baseball is out sooner rather than later. But at the end of the day this is going to cost them

It’s a pure RNG fest. Sure skill can make the difference to overcome a lot of the BS but the balance between good input being rewarded compared to bad input being rewarded is way off.
There’s way too much BS hits on horrible swings. Foul balls are ridiculous again. Seeing way too many perfect/perfects going foul. Good/goods are basically an auto out, you just have to wait until the game decides to cut you a break.
I should not be sweating out games against people who are striking out 10+ times a game when the majority of my outs are on lineouts or warning track shots. You can be dominant for 8 innings and only be up 2-0. Then all it takes is a couple of god awful swings after fouling 10 pitches in the dirt for them to tie it or win it.

I feel ya OP. My latest example was a BR game against a World Series player (with a solid record) yesterday. We went to the 2nd with me up 3-0. Brandon Lowe misses a routine grounder that would have been a double play. Austin Riley proceeds to miss a grounder at 3rd that same inning and to top it off I caught Mullins taking too large of a turn at second (the ball clearly beat him to the bag and replay showed the tag swipe but yet he was safe). It takes alot for me to eat a good WS player without giving them 3 extra outs in a 3-inning game. Very frustrating.

I don't get it. I play a game and everything I hit is a bomb until the other guy quits. Then I hop in to another game, I'm still seeing the ball well and making good swings and it feels like an excruciating uphill battle for every base. Then I go in to the next game and hit everything.

Doubtful, if they could have fixed it, they would have fixed it. There's a reason their focus is 100% on content. They don't advertise the game play, they don't talk about the game play, they don't patch the game play.
They just push new content to death, hoping you'll ignore the actual process of playing the video game.

Right, I understand your written words. Doubtful, SDS first has to recognize that there is a problem before they attempt to fix the problem. Not only will they not recognize the gameplay issues, they won't even talk about them at all.
Ya'll keep buying the game and stubs, no reason for them to fix anything until people stop giving them money, and stop buying their product.
