Is collection Jansen useable?

I still use him in my pen. He’s good for me. Just make sure you primarily use the cutter & play four corners with it. I throw it high & outside then middle in & then low & away…Then go to a different sequence & avoid the middle of the plate & he does great.

I can’t pitch well with him at all. Last year his 99 card wasn’t useable for me. He was on many god squads so I think it’s user error in my case.

When people are impatient with his windup I think his pitches aren't as good when he comes completely set.

After I select a pitch I allow Jansens motion to come to a complete stop before throwing. He seemed to pitch worse when I rushed his motion trying to pitch faster. Mariano is another reliever I seem to pitch better with when I don't rush aswell.

He's ok, but he would probably be my 5th or 6th option out of the pen at best. The card is considerably worse than his 99 usually is because of no changeup. Even then, players have just gotten used to him over the years. Its the same thing as Sale. Players have faced them so many times reading pitches is just easier

Personally, he doesn't play up to his numbers. I think by now, if people can hit Clase, they can hit Jansen.

Yeah, he does great for me too. I’ve cut back a little because of some of the new cards, but he’s been very reliable. (I use the 99.)

I’m going to try this. Maybe I was unintentionally rushing and missing my spots

He was one of my first p5s. With that said his delivery really has no deceptiveness. Also with him being out so long most people are used to him and he lacks that elite speed to keep hitters honest. The slider cutter combo are good but only if hitters are chasing that slider out of the zone.
