I love Papi and I know he's going into the HoF, but the Live Series reward is already a 99 first base with mediocre fielding and no speed. 99 collection rewards should never be the same position...

I mean, I get what you're saying, but many of us don't just play with 1 God squad and only the best card will be used. I change my roster every few games and would love to throw in a Papi. Besides, this is just an "other" program because of his HOF induction. It's not a collection reward. That's Jackie. This is an easy offline program with a free 99 and most likely 15k XP for the main program.
Ps: I'm surprised as a Red Sox fan you're not stoked. This is your guy.

I was more excited about this program than anything else added today. Just a bit of a different program for once. I use tons of regards…regardless of team, position, etc. and a Papi program for HOF is more than cool in my book.

Yep....all of this. I honestly get so bored using the same lineup. I'd play franchise if I enjoyed that. You can stock me with dozens of 99 lumbering giants at 1B and I'll try everyone.
I can understand OP's complaint if this was the collection reward but it's just additional content. Add in the All Star program on Wed and we should all have plenty to work on in the next week or two.

I mean, they could have put Papi in Jackie's spot. It will most likely(like 99%) be a free and extremely easy to acquire card. Frank is quite literally the most boring 1B to use ever year to me too. I only put him in anymore because he is relatively close to P5
