Question about sliders in off mode play

I have been reading a lot about how to adjust sliders in the game for offline play and I went to do it and it warned me I would not be able to earn rewards. Unfortunately I still need a fair amount of cards.

So, do I forgo the rewards and use the sliders or get the cards then the sliders?

If you play DD a lot I wouldn't touch the sliders but if you play more franchise mode you would probably be okay adjusting the sliders it's really about personal preference
