10-37… I’ve lost to 37 players that are worse than me, SDS gifting hits and homeruns man

Lol if that's the case, shouldn't the game do the same for you

On topic: my record is 10-4 or 10-5

    How think I won 10? 😅😅😅

    44-4 in ranked

Really? How is that possible? You must be really good at this game. You must be constantly playing in the 800/900 or higher ratings level. Playing against other players on HOF or legend? I win some, move up, lose some, go down, never breaking wild card level. Can't even imagine winning a game on HOF level. My record is 126-143.

I make sure I’m seeing the ball well on legend online, or, I take BP on legend against the CPU with the fastball pitch speed slider turned all the way up

This helps me make sure I’m able to turn on pitches somewhat well once I jump into that ranked game on HOF or Legend…although I struggle pretty hard on legend online

I also believe I’m a pretty good pitcher so that always helps for if/when the bats aren’t on

Definitely my best start in ranked since playing The Show going back to 17

Congrats on your hot start. That practice technique of practicing on higher levels, never worked for me. It turns into a practice of just chasing pitches. For me, I've improved my team RS batting average from 170s to mostly low .200s by playing, and dominating veteran level Conquest and Casual. An actual ballplayer doesn't take batting practice against hard throwers, and I've learned by slowing it down and building on success helps me. The more I hit the ball, the better I get at hitting the ball. If I practice chasing the balls I can't hit, all I do is go back and chase pitches. I'm getting better at waiting for a good pitch to hit, now that I'm learning what they look like, especially early in the count, as opposed to trying to hit anything. Anyway, good luck to you and your continued success.

The game “working” [censored] “intended” screwed my record, I’ll turn it around. I think I can win in the 300s

20-6 using a full Rockies TT. Thanks to the Chad Kuhl Topps Now and Jon Gray POTM I can finally avoid sending out a bronze starter 😂

This is impressive, this is better than 50-1 with a God squad

    63-48

    Not bad considering:
    -I'm in my mid-40s
    -No monitor
    -Hitting: Directional
    -Pitching: Meter

But I can't quite make it out of Division Series. I guess to take the next step I need to change my stubborn ways.

You need to go zone, meter is the second best interface, so all good there

I should’ve followed my plan and skip 22 but my friends talked me into it and here I am… probably should go back to 21

RS I'm 29-24. I'm terrible, but every now and then I have a game where everything clicks with the hitting and I wonder why I can't hit that way all the time. Plus I am constantly early on 102 MPH fastballs and late on 12-6 curveballs. My pitching keeps my close, but I'm just not good.

I'll blame it on using a large TV to play, yeah that's the ticket!

For me it's not gifting hits and homers, it's me having to beat the other player AND the AI. I barely miss a perfect release point and the pitch goes wherever it wants? I work my tail off and get a rare lead and the other guy hits a weak pop fly that the shortstop should be going for and the center fielder is the designated choice, so I hit the button to switch player and they go to the left fielder? Of course it drops in for a hit and a cheap RBI.

Yes I am definitely whining, but when I have played 20 games total and my opponent is 300-100 they certainly don't need any extra help.

I’ve had to get creative with pitching and sometimes throw guys like 89 Saberhagen and 87 Oswalt on short rest lol. For awhile I was using Bronze Tyler Matzek as an opener and piecing together the rest of the game with Ottavino, Street, and silver Tommy Kahnle. There’s been a couple games where I get shelled but most of my 6 losses are from not being patient hitting and one freeze off I quit out of.

Now you can throw J Gray into the rotation

I’ve always wanted a Andres Gallaraga Rockies card. He was a beast with Colorado

Tip of the hat to you and your stubborn ways… winning online while using directional is hard, and a .568 clip is pretty solid in my book… of course I’m in my late-40s, play on a TV, hit with Timing (using analog), and pitch with meter. 33 and 23 in RS, currently, but I’m feeling I’m about to drop another with Detmers due up.

Anyway, I played Directional for a couple of years before going back to analog late last year, and wanted to give props. That is indeed not bad…
