SDS - Thanks for updating Nolan Gorman finally but where did you get those stats?
-
I am happy to see Nolan finally get upgraded but I have to question about the stats on the Roster Update Screen. They look completely made up!!
You show his average as .228?
The lowest his actual batting average has been in the month of June is .247 on Tues when the cutoff may have happened. It has never dipped as low as .228 since he was called up.On Base % you show as .297
His lowest On Base Percentage since being called up is .323Slugging you show .391
The lowest his SLG has been in June is .427OPS you show .688
The lowest his OPS has been in June is .744You show his strikeout total as 13. which he just reached two nights ago on the 22nd. Yet his RBI and Runs totals show numbers from prior to June 18th.
So, again, thank you for the update. But man, it is hard to take your ratings and stats seriously when they look like they were pulled out of thin air and that you use one cutoff date to limit certain good stats (Runs and RBIs) and another to pad bad stats (strike outs).
And this is just not about Gorman, I simply noticed it because the .228 average looked really low (his current batting average is .277) when I was paging through the updates.
Check your favorite players on the update screen. Maybe this was an anomaly but I doubt it.

Yea, I noticed all of those incorrect stats. No idea where they pulled those from.
Guess we're never going to get a usable card for him.

I'm holding out hopes for a Topps Now based on his 4 for 4 with 2 HRs the other day.
My working theory is that they are using different cut off dates.
His 93 at bats takes into account all games through June 21st.
But his Runs and RBIs do not take into account anything after the 17thSo if the use At bats from the 21st and then take his hits from 17th or before it could account for those numbers.

I'm all for this post. What did you think of his FS card last year? I hit pretty well with him. I'm hoping we get a POTM card or at least a Topps card because it seems he no longer qualifies for FS. But I don't know, there seem to be lots of bent rules on these.
