Unable to see pitches

Any tips on how to see pitches. I am having trouble telling what pitch is coming and location. Even watching the ball out of the pitchers hands. Everything looks hittable then either I miss it completely or it's out of the zone. Can't catch up to fastballs and pitchers are able to corner pitch me with off speed. I get good timing but miss. It's in the zone. What am I doing wrong?

I've always been a fan of having the pitcher centered in the strike zone, but watching the pitch cross his body was the biggest lightbulb moment. It's a good technique that doesn't take a whole lot of thought. I still have trouble with a well pitched slider though.
