Online is unplayable on Xbox series S

Omg what a pile of [censored] the online component of this game is on Xbox. Constant stuttering and freezing during multiplayer like how am I supposed to time anything when the ball freezes 4 times on the way to the plate and the pitching meter is skipping frames like nobodies business. How do people play this game online and keep coming back? It’s honestly the most disappointing online experience I’ve had in a very long time. Are these know issues to Xbox consoles or the series S in particular. Is it crossplay related by any chance? I really wanted to enjoy this part of the game but there’s no point of it just feels buggy and broken.

I play on the ps5 and it seems like the connection messes with the pitch speeds every game. One game I'll be late on every fast ball on All star and the next ill be way early. I have made ws before; I can catch up to a fast ball on all star. Playing cross platform seems way worse.

It’s not that I’m late it’s that the ball literally pauses while coming into the plate it does this several times. The pci is usually what lags behind for some reason.

I have a Series S an have no issues what so ever, I have turned cross play off so not sure if that's matters.
Game runs very smooth from me

Offline runs perfect my upload is like 50 mb download is like 450mb so maybe I’ll try turning off crossplay but I only get matched with crossplay players.

You don't need great download/upload speed to play online, but latency is super important. You can go to test my speed.com right on your console and see what your latency speed is... not sure off the top of my head what is good speed, but you can Google it. I have great internet and still get lag in this game.... literally the only game that gives me any lag whatsoever... the SDS servers are terrible.

You need a next gen console or your wasting your time for this game, trust me. I wasted a year and a half wish I didn’t. Your batting average will probably double on a new console with a monitor, it’s insane the difference it makes.

If you can, get yourself a Series X, It' plays insane. I got myself a 32" gaming monitor that can handle up to 240ghz refresh rate and 0.5 ms response time but my TV is 72" and also handle over 144 fps and has a 1m/s response time. Playing it on my Xbox X on that TV was such an adjuustment, when I first started playing I'd be swinging when the ball was like halfway to the plate. No lag, no dropped frames.....if you're playing someone with a slow connection the you may experience some issues but if you can afford it, getting the Xbox series X and a really good TV /gaming monitor with great refresh rate and response time is insane. And to have a 70+" TV that has the timing of a gaming monitor - just blows me away

I honestly think its the games very wore out game engine. Inside pitches tend to just warp or skip a frame which makes for terrible late swings.
I play on Xbox series X, tcl 6 series TV (120hz), and fiber gig speed internet and it still happens for me

This games servers are terrible year after year. Come on SDS it 2022 get better servers I know you all have the finances to do so and make a new hitting its stale and outdated.

If you haven’t done this already (video below) then this may help. I have a series s upgraded from ps4 and for me the game plays perfectly now. My record was a bit over 500 on the ps4 and this season I’m at about 970 in rs. Only difference was changing
