What was the penalty to the fielding attribute for being out of position at 2B? I know Topps Trevor Story can play every infield positiin regardless of not having a secondary, this could be the case with Brett.
Is there a way for me to check? I'm guessing in game.

I might prefer to use him at 1B if I wanted to try that, Frank's card is awful to hit with for most of us LOL. I much prefer Delgado at 1B.
Got Delgado at LF, Clemente in CF and Ruth in RF. Pretty much no defense lol. It's working fine on All star but might have to put some legit defense in once I hit HOF.

I use him at 2B offline. Have used Pujols there too offline. Both still get Fielding in the 40s (so not good) but not the severe out of position penalties others get. Not sure I’d trust that online, but for offline grinding Brett or Pujols work just fine at 2B.

Where can you see this info? Does it change their attributes when you put them in the secondary or out of position?

Just dive for everything and you'll probably be fine with anyone, anywhere!

Yes. You have to be in the game but simply put the player you want to see out of position into that position in one of your lineups. Then, on the lineup screen (not in a game but rather in the lineup builder where you can build up to 4 squads) it will show you all the adjusted attributes based on the position you have them in. No one can play 1B out of position but sometimes the penalty isn’t that bad.

I was playing Judge at 2b for a while. Out of position guys were terrible last year, this tmyear SDS adjusted and went the other extreme where defensive number and playing out of position really don't matter.

What does the circle attribute menu show? Not sure how you couldn't see it haha

Found it thanks. HIs fielding goes down to 53, reaction 48. Speed and arm stay the same

I think you got lucky he didn’t botch any play.

played 5 ranked games so far and most opponent quit early, but have 6 assist and 3 PO's. No errors yet. He is a bit slow when turning two, but not slow enough where he's botched a double play. I'm know I'm playing with fire so I'm sure at some point it will cost me a game. Love his bat so far though as well as Devers and Thomas, so we'll see how it goes.

I used Kris Bryant at 2B for like a week until Brendan Rodgers came out. Since he had SS secondary, he had silver defense at 2B while out of position. He did bobble one grounder there but also made plenty of great diving plays and played very solid D.

I mean... not really. Doesn't take a rocket surgeon or brain scientist to think of putting Brett at 2b. Not harping on ya btw. My post was to try it out and I assumed peeps would try it out as well, so wanted to gain a long term perspective if so. I'm 9 ranked games in and Brett has yet to fudge a play.
