Apple Discontinued the iPod Touch.

Way to go Apple. You’ve finally managed to lose this customer at last! I need to vent here y’all. I was going to wait for my birthday this year to roll about to get the newest iPod touch... and they stopped selling them may 12. 🤬🤬🤬.
For no reason. For no reason they discontinued it. That iPod was my first ever Apple device back in 2009 and I hold a lot of nostalgia for it. I’m so upset.

I'm not asking this sarcastically as I've never had an ipod touch, but what does it do that any phone doesn't now?

Sure, but I would assume everyone has a phone capable of playing music, and those that don't probably don't care to get an iPod.
No one is buying it in place of a phone because it can't do what phones do

No one is buying it in place of a phone because it can't do what phones do
Everyone has their own reasons. Eg I know somebody who bought one as a music player to connect to speaker because they would constantly get calls or texts so using their phone to play music would ding a few times per song. Annoying at parties
