With the Switch version on sale and having some Nintendo funds, I figured this would a good time to get it. I have some questions if anyone can answer. PS5 is my primary. I just play DD. What crosses over to Switch? Is it just your inventory and progress? Will the stub balance be different on each console? Should i link it before launching it? If i spend a few extra to get the deluxe edition, do i still get the added perks after its linked?

I do not need to have the Switch version, just sounds like fun to have it available if my TV isn’t. My concern is messing anything up with the main account on my PS5. If there is any issues, id like to know and then I wouldn’t bother. Thank you!

Do NOT get the deluxe edition. You will not get the extra bonuses since you already have progress on PS5.

Inventory, progress, and stub count will carry over. Stubs bought for one platform don't cross over to the other initially, but that can be solved with a little money laundering. Buy a card with the bought stubs, sell that card, and the stubs gained from the sale are now considered earned and can be used on either platform.

As for the linking, I believe there is a code in game where you can link it to your Show Nation account on the computer. When you link the second console, you'll be asked which set of progress to keep. Make sure you pick your PSN account. If you mess up, it will look like you lost everything. Don't panic, it is still there. You could just unlink to get the progress back and try again.

Nothing “crosses over” to your switch. When you link your Switch version to your PS version it reads your progress from the PS server. When you play on your Switch, it tells the PS server what you have done so that when you go to play on your PS again, it will know what progression you made while on your Switch and add it. If you ever unlink the game, the Switch will revert back and your PS will keep your progression status.

If you link wrong, you won’t have access to your PS progression and will instead progress on your Switch version.

Here is a thread on how to link:

Im having a hard time here for some reason. I followed the directions, got my link code, but something is wrong. My show account and ps5 account are linked. When i type in the link code, it gives me 2 options. One is the new, switch account. The other is the right one, shows all the right ‘last logins’ and correct user name. But the stub balance is way off. And even after choosing it, its still doesn’t show up on switch. Confusing, and it sucks because its worked for everyone else lol.

Under the linked accounts, it lists the switch, but the link screen with the code isn’t closing.

Ok, may be ok now. The stub balance i was seeing when selecting the account was my Show 21 balance (not sure why that one showed and not my 22 but whatever). The link screen on the switch never closed so i backed out and restarted the game. Now its all there. Hopefully everything is ok. Sorry to everyone reading my nonsense lol and thank you to the folks that helped!!

Sometimes it doesn’t. After you’ve entered the code in your THE SHOW account and picked the account with your progression as your main account, log out. Start your PS game to make sure your progression is there as before the link. If so, you picked the right account. Then go to the game on your Switch to make sure your PS progression is there.

If you have purchased any stubs from PS, they won’t show up on your Switch. You’ll see stubs you earn across platforms but not buy. Same goes with Nintendo. If you bought stubs from them, you won’t see them on your PS. Once you buy inventory with the stubs then the inventory will be seen across platforms, but not stubs.

Thank you. I did notice a different stub balance. I thought that any purchased from here on out wouldn’t transfer, but the stub balance is lower on switch, for the amount i bought from ps5 yesterday, before linking. Thanx again for the info!!!
