Pitchers with fast wind ups?
-
I play mini seasons primarily and looking to get pitchers with fast wind ups to speed things up. Carlos Carrasco, Corbin Burnes, Chapman, and Emmanuel Clase for example all have really fast wind ups and thus I always lean on them more cause the other pitchers I have have slow wind ups.
Just got Holladay and also bought Tom Glavine yesterday and so far not impressed by them at all. Slow winds ups but more importantly I couldn’t get any strikeouts with them.
Edit: Another question, can you have a two way player created used in DD? I remember I saw a video saying you can’t have a two-way-players CAP used in DD. Just wanna confirm before I do the grind for no reason
-
Shohei Ohtani is decent windup speed plus he hits tanks so I would try his cover athlete card for around 25k
I’m not sure about the two-way player I just enjoy using past legends in DD.. I never really make a CAP unless it’s an easy grind and overpowered like in MLB 20

I pitch better with fast wind up
Billy Wagner got a fast wind up if u need a reliever

Thank you I’ll give him a shot the his 94 ovr version. I’m about to sell Holladay and Glavine. I’ll have over 360k stubs by than and I wanna spend it and not just there to look at lol.
And as far as CAP goes it is OP. My CAP is a 1st baseman with 120 contact on both sides and maxed out power 125 on both sides. 104 vision with 75 speed. My mistake was making him a 1st basemen where there’s tons and tons of options already. I should’ve made him a outfielder but it’s my 1st MLB game so I didn’t know any better

You’re better off saving your stubs for the live series collection since you already have 360K stubs I would go straight for Mike Trout trust me I’ve been playing diamond dynasty for a few years now it’s definitely the most efficient way
If you’re just offline grinding I would go for the 25K version of Ohtani since there isn’t much difference offline
As for the CAP yes you made a mistake making him a 1B but like you said you’re new.. the glitchiest is to make him a Catcher with maxed out hitting since that’s the position that lacks the most every year
Outfield is the most stacked with legends so I would avoid that too

I was reading a thread yesterday that mentioned to go for the top players 1st like Trout, Acuna, etc cause when they do stub discounts those players prices will sky rocket. Idk if it was you who said that but it’s the same message and I have Trout at 94 ovr with parallel boosts and absolutely love that card. Just a great all around card with defense and his hitting, so yeah I might actually do that cause I really enjoy playing with his card. I had my longest home run with him at 506 feet and Clint beleive it. My one and only 500+ feet home run lol
I actually thought about catcher as well cause it is a position that’s lacking. But if more OP outfielders will come out that makes sense to make a catcher. I want my outfielders to have speed, defense, and can crush the ball like Trout. Ima buy his 96 card than and he’ll be my CF for a long time to come. Thank you!

Thank you! I’m looking for closers, starters, and relievers with fast wind ups since mini seasons are 3 inning games so I’ll definitely will give him a shot.

You’re right on man. Everything you said is laid out perfect.. build your main squad around live series Trout and a switch hitting CAP catcher to maximize your roster

If you finish the Nationals collection, you get a Strasburg. He has a quick delivery from the stretch.

Thanks for your inputs! I just bought 88 Ohthani and gona give him a shot. I have 345k stubs after everything so not enough to buy Trout but very close. I’ll have him by tonight or tomorrow at the latest!

Thank you but I’m not looking into completing any sets just yet. I plan on doing in slowly just building up from packs playing and not really in a rush to complete it even though Johnson looks hella nice. It’ll take me a while but I don’t mind I like the challenge

Brett Saberhagen has a pretty quick delivery and he'll count towards the 60 strikeouts.
