Account Transfers

Hey everyone,
I finally got my hands on a PS5. I am starting a fresh PSN acc for this. I am trying to see if it’s possible to transfer the data from my old PSN to a new PSN. I assume it’s possible bc MLB the show can transfer online data to an Xbox or ECT… this is online diamond dynasty data to be specific.

It's not possible to move info from one PSN account to another. Why are you not using your original account?

nothing to transfer, DD is all server side.
just log in with the same psn and all will be there.
you ll have to redo settings like difficulty ,bat/pitch views etc and any rrts or franchise you ll have to save to cloud and download on new system.other than that you are good to go

My girlfriend now has my PS4 and she has saved stuff on there. I I was hoping I could do a transfer of my current data but I guess not. Doesn’t make since you can transfer data to Xbox to PS but can’t do PS to PS… but that’s Sony for ya ig!

Nothing is transferred, even with the Xbox to PS5. In order to have cross progression you need to create a Show Nation account and link the two platforms. Whichever platform is deemed the primary is what the Show Nation account looks to when keeping your progress. If you were to unlink, the primary would still have all the progress and the secondary would be back to the point it was when the two accounts were first linked. Since that is the way it works, it is impossible to transfer anything.
I still don't understand why you need a new PSN account. You can log into the same account on both consoles. Is your girlfriend playing MLB The Show? If not, then there is no issue with you both using the same account.

Use your original PSN account. Your PS4 profile transfers over seamlessly to PS5 and you get all your stubs and progress from there without really having to do anything.
Edit: I noticed somebody mentioned you need to update the settings (music, etc.). Apart from that, everything moves over.

↑↑↑ This. FooFencer is absolutely correct. There is no transfer of data between consoles. Once you are linked, your accounts talk to the PS server through your The Show account and share data. Even if your girlfriend does have saved stuff on the PS4, that is no reason to create a new account. If you are determined to start fresh with a new account on the PS5, then you will have to give up whatever progression you have made. -
Can you have the ps4 version and ps5 version of your psn online at the same time? I'm not sure but I dont think so so if they want to game at the same time, someone would have to create a new account
