You can skip one, so I think I'm skipping the cover athletes one. I'm hoping they do something that makes the Takashi cards easier to obtain, something like the cover Athlete program. I picked up Mantle cheap yesterday but we probably need 3 or 4 of them for the big collection.

You can skip one, so I think I'm skipping the cover athletes one. I'm hoping they do something that makes the Takashi cards easier to obtain, something like the cover Athlete program. I picked up Mantle cheap yesterday but we probably need 3 or 4 of them for the big collection.
They will. No way they would put out a collection and not make it super easy for the casuals and the children to complete it. The first week it will be only the whales and dedicated collectors that complete it. after that they will start releasing cards for the rest of us.

I remember Rivera being the tough last year, Mookie was the hardest imo. But once you got all the pieces for him, the others fell in place pretty quick. This year I'm going to be more proactive, I think Im sitting ok but of course that means I don't have a whole lot of investments (extra cards) im sitting on. I have 11 FOTF players but only one Takashi card. I have 6 prime cards so that should be good and 7 2nd half which should be close. Postseason is usually the other hard one but I have 5. If the first collection is too much, I might just cash out all of the cards I don't have locked in. It will be interesting to see who they release. If you have LS totally completed you really don't have any holes in the lineup. So the collection card has to be something really good to make it worth it.

It's not going to be collect the entire collection it's going to be like collect three or four cards of the cover athletes/Okinawa series

It's not going to be collect the entire collection it's going to be like collect three or four cards of the cover athletes/Okinawa series
I get that, usually it is a percentage. So like 80% of each type of card. So cover athletes would be the most expensive.

I saw Gomez and a few other streamers saying the first big collection is coming soon, like maybe in a week. I am prepared. I have at least 90-100% of all series cards with the exception of All-Star and maybe breakout. But I still have like 80% of those. I am really hoping for a great card like a 99 Mantle or something like that

a 99 Mantle would be fantastic....he is always a staple in my lineup but I can't hit with his Takashi card his year at all.
I found that with his Takashi card I hit better with him for base hits than for power.....WOuldn't mind a 99 Mays or Gehrig.....have never been a fan of Ted Williams cards even though I love him as a player IRL....They could drop a 99 Griffey but for some reason I never like Junior cards as much as some other cards; that's just my personal preference.
