is pure BS!
I can see not allowing a 'one and done'.
But if you get through at least one inning of a ballgame: you should get that PXP.
You're telling me that if I'm the home team and I am getting shelled in the second inning with NO chance of winning; I can't quit the game without penalty of losing that PXP?

The game is designed around, ya know, playing the game. You can't really get mad that you can't game the system. Be happy you can quit after 8 batters. I'd be perfectly fine if the get had to go full to gain any XP.
-
thats less than 1/3 of a ballgame atleast there actually doing something to try and prevent dashboarding

If you’re getting shelled then it’s minimal PXP anyways and won’t take long to get to the second inning in the next game.

So letting you say, play in legend and getting 1.5x PXP for hitting and quitting is kewl?
I'm going to be in the minority and say, they should make you finish the game to get PXP vs the CPU. Do you dashboard against the CPU to prevent HR from counting also? LOL

I was referring to online play.
Yes, if I'm getting shelled and I want to quit after my sixth batter then I should be able to at least get the PXP for plate appearance for each of the six batters that came to the plate.
Why should I be penalized if I don't want to give my opponent an extra few pitching/hitting stats if I know I have no chance at winning the game.

You aren't being 'prnalized'. You quit, something you chose to do and the game doesn't count so neither do the stats. The fact that they even give us the option for them to count after 8 at bats is rewarding enough.

What do you mean by saying 'the game doesn't count'?
If I get a loss and my players that I used to get PXP get docked points for their batting average and era; why don't I get the PXP?
If they're going to not give you PXP for any player used if you quit before the 8th batter hits; then any loss if ERA and batting avg points shouldn't be deducted from those players.

They have to be counted, because your opponent got stats too.
PXP doesn't correlate based on your opponent's numbers. Their stats do.

@hoboadam_PSN explained it pretty simply, read his post. This is a dumb hill to die on. Are you planning on quitting a lot of games before the 8th batter?
If they removed this then everyone that had the patience and time would P5 all their favorite hitter in a day. Right now it actually requires a grind.

I can see that point. I understand them (SDS) adding this for the offline grinder that would just 'hit and quit'.
But I'm just saying for online modes; it's a bit much.
Maybe I need to go into an online game with the mindset that I'm playing it for the added PXP bonus and that's what matters.
Not a declining batting average or increasing ERA for a make believe player. -

Not a declining batting average or increasing ERA for a make believe player.Every inning you play with a guy counts for PXP also in addition to their stats. Makes sense to play it out, and not quit online either. Just my opinion.

I just get 8 hits in a row and then quit. Easy peasy.
