Well well well, a plot twist. Who would've thought? And here I was having all the faith in the world in SDS' competence to fix these issues.
Have you tried online today?

Lol y’all thought 120 was going to magically turn you into world beaters. Soon y’all be begging for them to turn it off

I'm still in the middle of moving, my desk and PS5 have been untouched since we got here. I still got many things to fix first so hopefully later this week.

Same. Offline crush everything, feels good. Online I'm more late with 120 than I was with 60.
Even offline doesn't feel as good as when 120hz was first added.
I kinda agree with this. When the patch came in for offline only I was early on everything. Since the new patch to add it online, offline seems to have slowed down. Its weird.
Somthing changed. Even if you go to practice mode with 120 hz enabled you are back to getting blown away by fastballs. Curious to get more opinions in this.
Yeah. When it first came out I blew through a mini season on HOF made and knocked out the extra base hits with no problem at all. I went in again today after I noticed how late I was in online on everything and hitting was completely different. Wish it wouldn't have changed.
You are going down a rabbit hole that doesn’t have any obvious answer. I have been trying different monitors and settings for about a year.
From all of my annoying effort, time and money wasted I have found that dialing your visual bandwidth down helps a lot….no HDR, 8 bit, 1080P/QHD seem to have the same minimal output. It significantly reduces the input lag based on my testing.
I also feel like TN monitors somehow sync the action on your screen to your input perfectly and noticeably better than other technologies.
This is coming from a guy that in the last year plus have purchased two Ben Q Zowie TN monitors, two C1s, an LG QHD monitor and the Samsung 4K G7.
With all that being said the slight sync/lag benefit of using TN 1080P is probably not worth it in my opinion…feels right though after feeling something is off with all the other high priced settings and [censored].

TN panels are known to be the fastest but have very mediocre and even below average picture quality. Also every post processing setting adds input lag, so everything you say is kind of common sense.

Anyone know why my profile shows the Rockies logo and not my World Series banner from 2022? How do you update it?

I think there is another intangible to it like I said. I think it syncs what you see to the input better than other technology.
TN panels do get credit for being the fastest as in handling motion clearly….fyi that is what they mean when they say fastest. Just to help you out…

Even further to your point OLEDs have instant pixel response and are clearly the “fastest” based on reviews and in my humble opinion something feels off hitting when you use the C1/CX series.
Just to also point out I did preface that it was simply my opinion/experience…..take it or leave it. Thanks for the rude response though.

Yes, I'm aware. The thing you forgot to mention is that fast motion handling alone is not enough. If the image is blurry, let's say a fastball coming at you, you will have input lag not from the monitor but from your eyes and brain, because you'll pick up the baseball later. I played on a TN panel for years and switched to IPS and its night and day difference. Not that much slower in motion handling and the picture quality is a different world.
Edit: you keep editing your post, I wasn't being rude to you at all. Just stated that your findings make sense because it's common sense. Not sure how that's rude but wasn't intended that way at all. But I see you got offended by the way you ended your comment by saying "just to help you out". Can't say anything anymore without hurting someone's feelings I guess.

Offline this plays great ! I can sit back on pitches and it seems the input lag is completely fine as I can track the ball more.
Online I am late on almost everything now. Anyone else having issues ? It's almost as if it is playing worse for me than before the update.
I have an LG C1. All settings on the TV should be ok ( that I know of). PS5 is set into performance mode. VRR on etc...
Wondering if anyone has any suggestions to see if I can check anything on my end ? Because it is pretty disappointing to go from 60 to 120hz and not see any benefits online and have the game actually feel slower like my bat is dragging after I swing.
Are you using Freesync or G-Sync/Forum VRR?
Try only leaving on FreeSync in the menu as it supposedly has the lowest input lag and I think the hardware in the Xbox is AMD and in the C1…….don’t turn off FreeSync because the console will resort to V-Sync to prevent tearing which has worse input lag.

I just tried hoppin on to check the new cards out and am unable to get 4k 120hz any longer?? Even if I change my resolution from automatic to 2160p. the resolution goes into 1080p when booting up. Still is 120 hz but not sure what changed between today and last night

Couple other tricks….when I feel like my bat is lagging. Unplug/turn off the controller several times……go into any area to where you can see player cards like the bullpen and pull up a bunch….you’ll notice right away it lags, but after the connection moved to your side they up instantly haha.
Also I shut off my console and let it cool down. Performance decrease when the system is stressed/warm is a thing even on console.
