For online play this year.
No need to be good at locating pitches, no need to be good with zone hitting, just load in and enjoy the ride. Don't worry about timing, don't worry about physics, don't worry about 100mph fastballs up and in, the game will bloop those into the opposite field for you. Most importantly, don't worry about those changeups in the dirt you swing at everytime, eventually the game will force one to be only 4 inches below the zone and you will get a super early or late swing homerun. Sliders that dang near hit your back foot... not a problem.. Those are just foul balls this year, swing away!
Also I might just suck
I had a decent fun game recently this week, it was my highlight of the year so far ! How exciting !!!!! Fock off.....

If the Astros stole a WS, the Dodgers had to get theirs on a discount... Most play 162 these days.

Skill does still matter otherwise I wouldn’t have went 82-10 last year and 26-2 so far this year. However, I find each year since the golden days of mlb15-17 the skill gap does continue to lessen. That’s just the mechanics of the game in DD. Custom leagues or playing a game outside the mode the game plays so much cleaner with none of the rng, I haven’t played in one this year to confirm but every year prior the gameplay there had none of the BS that DD does.
Want to add it’s a miracle I’ve managed both those records considering how ridiculous it’s gotten. And it’s a shame the other modes died. The only thing that could rope me back in next year is if we have a new engine with the pci actually replicating the baseball bat. Even with that, the carnival game stuff is here unfortunately. There’s too much money to be made by appealing to everyone rather than the hardcore base.
