Who prefers DD Offline more than DD Online?

I am not shamed to say I need to rely on Directional Hitting & Classic "No Meter" Pitching. I just do not have the controller skills to use the other Hitting & Pitching modes effectively. This puts me at a huge disadvantage playing online. Makes it much more difficult to beat players that use Zone Hitting or Meter/Pin-Point Pitching.
I do play at times Online modes with Ranked, Events & BR, however not as much as I do with Offline modes, such as with Conquest, Mini, Program Missions, MTO, RTTS & Franchise. I just have more fun via those modes then I do playing others via modes Online. I win more against the CPU & can even play .500 ball Vs. CPU on HOF & Legend. However playing Online in HOF or Legend, I am easily out classed. All-Star is even a bit too challenging for my taste. Makes my gray hairs come out quicker. LOL.
I will normally only play Online modes when there is a card that I "REALLY NEED TO HAVE & MUST HAVE" & I just can not wait to flip for enough stubs to buy on the market. However this year the grind to get cards via Online modes are a bit way too time taxing then within the last 3 to 4 years. I do not see any of those reward cards being offered as worth the grind for those who are not skilled enough against more advanced online players.
I'm wondering how many actually does have more fun & enjoyment playing Offline modes rather then Online modes.

Offline player here. I have fun collecting, playing the conquest maps, dailies, etc. The thought of playing anything online, even games that don't count against your record, is intimidating for me so avoid it.
Does it cost me some possible free cards? Yes, but I'd rather buy it or "rent" it then sell it back than go for wins online.
I like playing baseball without stressing out, that's pretty much it. -
For the first time ever I’m playing more offline than online. Well I haven’t played much in general the last few years, which embracing offline will likely lead to more playtime this year overall.
When online was really good, I would play zero offline. When the game “changed” I would try to play offline to build my team but it was still boring to me. Now I am using the game as a game instead of my main hobby and competitive outlet.
Offline is much more relaxing, like playing Gran Turismo is for me. And I guess I do have skills to improve, and cards to acquire by playing offline. So looking to gain ground in both of those areas before fully diving into online play if at all really.
Ultimately I think that is the disconnect with the game nowadays, Online is not balanced enough to truly be competitive. In other words, it seems there is actually no skill curve and just a random game of Trouble with dice in the bubble.
Oh well, the paradigm has shifted, the glory days are over but it’s not the worst baseball game ever made.

Mini Seasons is the icing on the offline cake - SDS hit it out of the park with that addition to the game! Online is fun but somewhat goofy - such as a HR when the pitch is well off the strike zone. Online is for the highly skilled full-time player and some who enjoy cheesing their opponent but I still play some of the events for a change of scenery.
to improve offline play, SDS needs to put a cap on foul balls. It seems more problematic this year than ever. The 4th foul ball hit by the CPU in a 2 strike count becomes strike 3.

Yup, I pretty much only play offline. I've tried online a few times. A lot on 17 when so many missions were tied to online. Never Ikeda it though.

Hi, I'm Evan and I too am an offliner, I admit it.
I once tried the online games during the Musial program a few years back (bobblehead era) and lost interest after the way some folks went about playing, just poor sports and toxic comments post game. I'm not saying that is what you find playing everyone, however a few can ruin the experience to where I'm just not interested in the shenanigans. Just wasn't a fun experience.
The only online I play now is just games against my sons or a created league of people we know (we have fun, joke, laugh and enjoy the games).

You can literally hit online with one hand on the controller and the other in a chip bag. Takes a lot of nerve to use the word "competitive".

I like playing baseball without stressing out, that's pretty much it.Another great offline mode is Franchise w/ Legends in the draft. It makes for a way to play kinda like DD but at your own pace. Commentary is way better, game presentation is way better, you can play the organizations AA and AAA games as well to see how your future players look. And if servers ever go down No problem b/c it isn't tied to online.

I was a huge online player until last year. I averaged about 700 online ranked games, last year I played 200 and this year I’m at 9. I’d rather grind mini seasons for the free packs

I proudly play offline.
I grew up when there was no online.
I play EASHL 'online team play' in NHL, and love that.
I did fall in love with online co-op here, when it works, of course. Too many people quit out when losing though. No heart, lol -
