My thoughts are that the fotf will be given out in some other way, but they probably won't be flooding the market. It also won't be at the end of the year either imo. My reasoning is this.
Completely unobtainable by any means at all cards each year, not including max stub waitlists
    17: 2 of Pujols/Pepe/Chipper
18: Sandberg and Kershaw WS immortals
    19: Gerrit Cole/ Felipe Vazquez
    20: None
    21: Alomar
If they don't re-release rewards from this program, we will have 30 completely un obtainable gold cards and 60% of the Jerseys etc. from each division. I just don't think they would do that personally but who knows

Why couldn't you obtain Cole in 19?

He was swapped into the Pirates team affinity and if you already had Vazquez you had to email them to get Cole. You could only have 1 of the 2

I look at FOTF like last years 42 cards. There was an initial spike with the next collection but then they were released everywhere. Conquest maps, rewards paths, etc. So I could see them spiking again but with an eventual plumet of prices. Question is do you want to risk the investment. As for the cover and anime cards I have no clue. I'm sure there will be other ways to obtain them, just might be later down the road. However, at that point the cards will not be playable and only valuable because of the sets. If I get close to an AL gatekeeper and need an extra 50k to put me over the top I will sell both my cover and anime cards.

Agreed, but rhe difference was, those packs only had the legends from the initial release. Granted, TA was available all year so there was no reason to re-release the 30 program rewards because you could always go and complete TA1. With this year's, I think you are right, they will add these packs in the future division maps and featured programs

I hope they make FOTF sets a gradual thing. Say 18 for a card in may, 24 for a card in June-July, and all 30 in the fall.

This would allow the FOTF cards to go up and down in value as they get released through conquest maps and reward paths. The cards are limited in quantity to each user for a reason.

The will be released as different rewards but as a FoTF pack where all 30 cards can be pulled at random and will be sellable eventually the will all be around the 10k value most of the year

The better comp for the 42 cards are the cover and anime cards. Those will eventually be peppering Conquest maps and Program paths for months to come.

FotF will be back but how, when and where: no one knows but Steven, Luis, and the rest of the live content team.

Only reason I say 42 is I'm sure we get a second installment of FOTF with higher overall cards just like we did with 42 last year. I think that was two years ago they did FOTF2 with prospects and legends thrown into the reward path. It was four different parts released at different times. THat allows them to make even more tiers for the FOTF collection rewards. But you are correct, only SDS truly knows where they are headed.

This is only year two for me ...so always still learning, but does anyone have any insight on where FOTF goes from here? I'm not complaining, but I honestly haven't been the biggest fan of the series and really don't want to spend stubs on those cards. Most collections last year were in the 80ish percent area and that would mean collecting 24 of them. I know with collections you can always skip a voucher, but you never know what you might need to skip.

I know some people say that those packs will be everywhere before long and while I don't disagree, I think back to inning henchman and bosses from last year which did not come back around until 11th inning.

I also can't quite figure out what will happen with anime cards. My instinct says that more will be added at some point and it will become a bigger collection. But right now it just seems really random.

I'm taking a guess that "face of the franchise" is this years "team affinity". Could be wrong tho

Im guessing there’s another 30 FOTF all being legends at one point. Then the collection. 30 flashbacks then 30 legends just like last time.
