How Many Have Not Played Ranked Yet?
-
After years of always starting out badly in ranked & never being able to catch up to having atleast a .500 W/L record. I am refusing to play ranked until I feel I have a team good enough to play atleast at a .500 level. I'm only a decent player, so using a team with mostly only Gold & lower tier Diamond cards do make a big differnce attribute wise when playing online. Timing is harder, control is harder, PCI is smaller, etc. By the time I have made an all 95+ Daimond team & can win 2 out of every 3 & 4 games, I was already so below .500 W/L that I could never catch up to being at .500
It always bothers me knowing when everyone I play sees my record being 10-50, 50-90, 100-200, 150-275, etc etc. I myself get excited when I see other players I'm matched up against having similar records because it just shows my odds of winning increased as to someone who has a .650 or .700 W/L record. I want to be atleast always within .500, even if just a little slighty over or under. If only for my own pride & ego knowing others wont view me as a scrub before the 1st pitch was even thrown. LMAO

I've really only played offline so far. I generally don't dive into online play until later in the season.

Bro..unless your a top 15% player, online records mean nothing with how random this game is. For example, I played 2 games this morning and felt like I had more good hits than my opponents but lost….the next 2 games I played my opponents out hit me skill wise but weren’t rewarded…I won both games. With how random this game plays, especially this year, we are just trading wins in the middle ranks. It’s how the game is designed to keep players active. All UT games follow the same script. There’s money to be made.

100% true. I’m now playing Franchise in Legend because I’m not that great of a player but I tend to reach World Series when I have the time to try it… this year im like 5 games above 500. and the amount of crazy stuff like a perfect timed pitched hanging in the middle of the zone just to get the got me frustrated

Not touching ranked yet. Waiting for my new TV with better refresh rate.

I only finally played 3 games last night as I waited for the new content today. Wayyy too much time needed in Ranked this year if you're an average/casual player for anything worthwhile.

It comes down to 13 innings a day for 30 days. That’s 1 game and a half per day….or about an hour and a half. That’s for 400 innings, you could play more and get the packs in the reward path.
13 innings a day ain’t too bad.

I've not touched ranked yet as I've just been trying to flip and play events until I have collections done. That should happen this week sometime at which point I will jump into some ranked.

I don't even look at people's record. Almost always just skip the screen.
I thought I had a good enough team but I can't hit this year. Combo of not being able to see and when I actually get the ball in the PCI, it is usually an out. Spent 2 hours on legend bp adjusting different monitor settings. Seems like a waste when I get online and can't see the ball. I am usually .350+ after my trek through veteran and all star and after some HOF games. I am right at .300 this year.

Me. And I don't plan on it in the near future either.

I would guess only like the top 5% of players make WS. Don't compare yourself to the people that go 50-5. They are playing slow pitch softball compared to most people. I can't SEE the ball on HOF yet they are turning on 100 on legend. So I could hit a 95 mph fb in real life but can't see 95 in a video game. Makes sense.

Very true. If you can't make the WS, there really isn't a reason to go for the innings reward. Better off playing something like mini seasons (oh wait that's broke) or conquest (snooze fest).

I usually dont play until after the first month or two. Probably gonna be longer this year because although my lineup is pretty solid and i got a lock down bullpen, i feel like my rotation could be better.
-
I haven't played ranked at all

me too mate, i am 3-1 in RS so far batting around 450 - early RS is easy but my starters are absolute trash i just don't want to lose games because of this - need to grind a bit better cards for my pitchers

Why wait for a good rotation? It doesn’t matter who you have the game is gonna serve your pitches down the middle randomly….if you think I’m just bitter and exaggerating, jump in and find out for yourself.
-
Usually I start in the second season, last I didn’t play it much, but I plan too this year.

you are right mate pitching is really random and wack this year - plenty of good reasons to be disappointed

Played 4 games. One was against 99 Randy. One against a submariner with 101 mph fastball and 72 changeup.
I'm not sure I'll continue buying this game if they continue to allow these created players online.
