Or are the pitching physics really wonky this year high curves and sinkers are moving blazing fast and fastballs feel slower for some reason

You might be crazy, if you want realistic settings change to Legend and max pitch speeds out..that's the best representation of reaction time and movement...cutters are super awesome this year..picking up on its movement mid way to the plate is cool. Go watch some Youtube videos of catcher's POV receiving pitches from MLB pitchers you'll get what I'm saying. Playing at All-Star with default pitch speeds, fastballs seems like knuckleball speeds.

I'll stick with Hall of Fame trying to time anything offspeed on lower difficulties feels extremely hard reading the break feels nearly impossible
