Struggling With Mini Seasons, Agree?

Mini seasons is ridiculously hard. I don’t think it’s fair that these maxed out teams get thrown at you—Why should I suffer for not shelling out the money to complete the live series collection and get to the OP cards before everyone else?
Every fielder I face has godlike throwing ability and they successfully dive catch everything. What doesn’t go into the outfield is a lineout straight to one of the infielders. And strikeouts plague me—not because I suck at hitting (I’m playing on Rookie so it’s not the difficulty setting), but because a lot of the pitchers I have to deal with either have crazy pitch movement, the outlier quirk, or both.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the plate, every batter in the lineup is a legendary slugger of some kind. They jack out almost everything, and it’s a wonder that win games. Usually it’s by small margin. Increasingly, it’s by one run. You can imagine how stressful that is, it’s almost showdown stressful.
This mode is really ticking me off. Rookie in this mode is like hall of fame. It’s unbalanced to favor the CPU because of the maxed out teams.
Oh! And the crashes. I just crashed again and got slapped with another loss. In a playoff game no less. Really nice SDS.
Is anyone else struggling here?

If I’m doing a mini seasons grind I just throw it on rookie and rake for 15 games quit out of the remaining games and play the playoffs. The goal is packs and that’s the fastest way to them.
Edit: just noticed you said you play on Rookie too. Do some legend batting practice for a bit and rookie will seem like a beach ball is being thrown at you.

Yeah, I definitely struggled and dropped a few games to the god squads. I made it through the semi-finals and then got hit with the Unhandled server exception and now I cant play the championship round so if I were you I might wait until they fix mini seasons and you know for sure you'll be able to play the WS round.

And my profile might be deceiving—I am not new to the game. I came over from playstation to xbox last year. I have been playing since MLBTS 16, so it's not like I don't know how to play the game.

So? It’s on rookie. As I said, I’ve played through the mode multiple times and those teams aren’t an issue. Sure, it’s easier to score against the team pitching commons, but degrom on rookie isn’t all that challenging. Be patient, wait for a pitch up in the zone, and hit it out. You should have some decent players by now too.

So? It’s on rookie. As I said, I’ve played through the mode multiple times and those teams aren’t an issue. You should have some decent players by now too.
For YOU he might not be. Jeez, enough with the patronizing. Can you at least concede that some of it might be the game? Hitting feels all wrong compared to last year and I'm still getting used to the feel, which will be moot if they change things again in the next patch

As somebody that has finished 3 mini seasons without issue, I have NOT found it difficult to win 20 games vs CPU on AS each of those seasons. I'm 3-0 for championships, and finish with 18+ wins each season.
My team is 85 OVR that I use, since I am trying to get PXP on certain guys for use in my group of friends.
Each season, the CPU teams have been more stacked and games are closer, but certainly manageable.

Playing on rookie has been harder this year from my experience. I’m on my third run of mini seasons and I’ve caught myself going on auto pilot when playing and it bit me a few times and lost a few games. Worst case scenario, put a few speedy bunt cheesers at the top of your lineup to get a few men on base. It might help get you moving.

The thing is if I do get speedy runners on base, when I try to steal second, I am OUT almost every time. It's unbelievable.

What does that even mean? I'm saying it's unbalanced because I don't have the players that the AI teams have. I don't have LS Trout or Degrom, or the collection rewards like Thomas or Clemente.
It would BE balanced if the teams you faced corresponded to your team's overall rating.

What do you not understand? You are put in a league with a bunch of teams and only 2 of those teams are stacked. The rest is mediocre with silvers and golds. That is balanced, don't you agree?
