A 1 hit player program?

Ok, I admit I've gone back and forth on the content this year. As primarily an offline player, I'm addicted to content that takes time. I'm sure some people will love how easy this is but I don't quite get it. They advertise this as a player program and it will take less than 1 minute to complete. Just seems like a lot of short cuts are being taken.
Ok, I know I'll catch some heat for this, feel free to tell me why this is a good thing.

I think it's in the category "let's throw them a bone" because the criticism is everywhere and not very mild.

I’m guessing they have something planned for a high overall Jackie at some point this year and didn’t want to make us grind for a card that’ll likely not make anyones bench. If you had to actually invest any real time toward the 88 Jackie you’d probably be disappointed anyhow.

Sadly I very much doubt you’ll enjoy content this year. It’s fairly obvious it’s just the hurry up and wait game again which I hate. It could be 0 hits, they will still make you wait another week for the 15k Xp for collecting him.
Nobody is allowed to finish DD programs before RTTS boosters for yet another year. SDS are so focused on saving face they’d rather just let the boosters win and pretend like nobody notices the absolutely abysmal content system they’ve came up with and left in place.
Stars were better.
The ticket counter was better
TA was better
XP path was better
The Griffey program was better.
Fk it….SOUVENIRS were better than this.At least you couldn’t get them all playing RTTS on a brand new difficulty for blind people.
The fact they still won’t release a programs content at the start and give people that small glimmer of hope in finishing before Billy hitting .834 on the rocket city trash pandas is a slap in the face.
There is NOTHING I can do to compete. RS, Events, Conquest, Missions, Showdowns. I can finish them all first try go undefeated and I’ll be 10% as far as boosters. They even nerfed MTO…..pure stupidity.
This isn’t good or bad, it’s completely irrelevant like every other mission.

It's definitely good for people who don't have as much time. And I don't mean that sarcastically. You don’t have spend nearly as much time this year as you did last year. Things could change drastically, they are throwing in little programs more frequently compared to last year. Like the Nike programs and hopefully a lot more.

B/c it's Jackie Robinson day! Not Month or week, don't expect to see this again for rest of season. But i understand your concern but you are thinking too much into it. I'ts a celebration program basically.

OR … they wanted to celebrate Jackie Robinson and wanted to give him away without straight up giving him away.

I would rather they just give the card away for free and then put out a “42” Conquest map or something. But, to be fair, it’s absolutely a “damned if you do damned if you don’t” situation for SDS — make the program too easy and people complain that they are shorting us content. Make it too long and people will complain about having to grind.
I remember the Jackie program back in 20 had the most PITA moment I’ve ever had to do (2 XBH and a SB w/ Jackie), and I never want to do that nightmare again. But it does feel like we’re missing out on new content to recognize a very impactful day.

I get it, the tradition of Jackie is that everyone should get him. And that is true.
I guess I'm just saying, why not have the 1 hit Jackie give away and a player program for somebody else? Why not have a new legend announcement be for a new legend and not one who was in the game already a few years back? Why not have Topps moments and a monthly program? Why not have 6 Team Affinity programs and a featured program? Today's content took less time to complete than it did to watch the stream.
I'm just worried this is gonna be the way it is this year. I'm not somebody to threaten to never play again...who cares anyway. I'm just bummed. I guess I'll go watch a game with friends and be social tonight.....ugh :).

Oh I totally get that point being a father and husband. I’m just saying they hyped it making it out like a huge content drop when it was pretty bare minimum
