Edit velocities are horrendous

Hitting is bad this year so far. You know they have the sliders turned down when you hit a ball hard enough for the commentary to be triggered to make comments like it’s a homerun, only to have the ball die before the warning track. I’m close to going back to playing other games (Elden Ring etc). I’m just playing CPU games and even that hitting is poor. It’s not fun to play a rookie game and struggle to hit homers. They get in their minds that the stats should mimic real baseball. That’s just not fun in a video game. I’d rather have a arcade feel in cpu games. This is especially true considering how unrewarding the game appears to be this year. I’ve almost completed all collections already, but I wish I could go back in time and save my money. I have a feeling they won’t be fixing hitting anytime soon. After all these years they still haven’t even fixed the cruddy baserunning IQ of the runners around second base either. They also need to tone down the cpu defense, especially in the outfield. I’ve never had so many runners thrown out trying to score from second or go first to third in all the years I’ve played. Same goes for basestealing against average catchers.

I like the cpu defense. But you're right the game feels very unrewarding. And hitting on rookie should be more of homrun derby than an actual game. Right now on rookie you have cpu pitchers throwing sliders and cutters in on the hand lol. Square a ball up with 92 power and its 88 on the the exit velo. Just boring

Of course not. I knew nothing about the Astros until my google search. Did you know the Astrodome was considered the 8th wonder of the world and I they actually entered the league the same year as the Mets?

I still don't know what everyone is talking about. As a mediocre player who only plays offline and rarely if ever plays above veteran my 4 conquest games I played tonight to finish out the central conquest
6-0 (no hit the cpu and had 8 hits and 2 homers)
7-0 (threw a 1 hitter and had 9 hits and 3 homers)
13-0 (threw a 1 hitter and had 15 hits and 6 homers)
4-0 (no hit the cpu and had 4 hits and 1 homer)Here are my perfect perfect hits for those who complain about those. It also shows exit velocities
Bell: 111 mph (Bell homered to left (409 feet). 1 RBI)
Tucker: 110 mph (Tucker homered to right (391 feet). 2 RBI)
Tucker: 110 mph (Tucker lined and deflected off CF Straw for a single. )
Pujols: 107 mph (Pujols homered to left (428 feet). 1 RBI)

Of course. 1962 as the Houston Colt 45's who played at Colt Stadium. The Astrodome is still standing BTW right next to NRG where the Texans play.
