Fielders keep jumping for no reason

I'm not sure why but I am seeing this intermittent problem where my fielders jump or dive for no reason when I am trying to move to a fly ball. I have tried with one button jump on and off and it makes no difference. I know my remote is kinda glitchy and some of the spots on the left joystick are a bit worn out. Could it be that? Any other tips someone can point me towards?

This problem was present during the beta when using analog throwing.

Fielding is killing me in almost every game. Running uncontrollably or they get locked. So i guess not much change there.

I am also occasionally seeing where I preload the throw and then instead of throwing the ball once it is caught the fielder will just stand there until I press the button again.

I have the same problem. Went on 19 to see if it was possibly my controller but its not. Played a full 9 inning game and didn’t randomly dive at any point. I still cant play online on 20 yet
