No you didn’t get it straight. I’ll iron it out for you, I’m not saying hitting is hard. I’m saying you shouldn’t be able to foul tip pitches that bounce in the dirt and all you have to do is swing early and you have a hit. You can’t pitch fast balls because everyone just swings early and send it’s to the moon. So did you get it straight now moron?

Batting is not too hard….heck, you don’t even need to get the pci on the ball to send a nuke out of the stadium.

This seems to be a pattern.
In both ‘19 and ‘20 people started the year singing the praises of hitting and within 1-2 weeks after launch it gets botched behind an update.
Also, the the higher rated FOTF pitchers are batting practice on All-Star while a gold Smoltz I can’t control against the CPU becomes legendary in the hands of an online opponent.
I smell a rat.
This game is on another level of pathetic. I know people bash EA and rightfully so but Ultimate Team has taken multiple strides forward as of late and SDS basically just gave us the middle finger with this game.
Hitting is garbage. Opponents resorting to bunting in the event lol

What I don’t understand in this game is how exit velocity is up but balls are dying before they reach the fence. Once the ball gets in the air they seem heavy. Ground balls seem like they are hit much harder this year though.

My experience as well. Never ever had a hard time scoring in Veteran and even Rookie difficulties before in Conquest; first time I've ever had this happen. Also, every all I hit seems to go right at someone and every ball an opponent hits seems to find a hole or force a dive. Not to mention a reliever getting completely zapped ("getting tired" baacially means "no energy" now it seems) after 5 pitches, lol.

This game is obviously harder this year. I've played for two full weekends and lost more than I ever have (played thousands of games since the Playstation 3.) They either made it harder to win or I'm getting worse at the game.

This is by far the worst MLB game ever made. Could even be the worst game I have ever played. There is something wrong in every aspect of this game. It’s borderline criminal for them to put out a game this bad and charge money for it. SDS should be ashamed of themselves for taking money from the hard working people, especially during a time when inflation is at its peak.

I thought it was just me having a hard time scoring runs. I was having such a hard time today against Seattle! Seattle. Like Cmon! They def did change something.
Definitely not just you haha. The amount of times I’ve been walked off in conquest on some BS is laughable. I haven’t played since the stamina patch, so hopefully I don’t have to run out 5 pitchers in a 3 inning conquest game because I can’t locate anything after like 5 pitches

Hitting is absolutely awful. No reason you should ever put the ball in the middle of the pci with good timing and at least not get a base hit. Happens 5-10 times a game where you middle it up and ground out have a lazy pop fly. It’s causing people to lose games and ridiculous

Hitting didn't change bud.
But it did... I went from scoring 10-20+ runs a game on rookie to maybe 5 at the most now.. every ball is exactly squared up like it was three days ago. Perfect perfects with IDEAL launch angles are being caught at the track.(the only perfect perfects that should EVER be outs are those with bad trajectories) Jim Rice is either the worst player to ever be in MLB the Show or they’ve nerfed him. And also now the computer on rookie launches homeruns every inning almost when last year I had pitchers with ERAs under 0.5 vs CPU. They have definitely tweaked things.
