If there’s roster updates of some sort every Friday, is today the day we get Seiya Suzukis live series? He’s now appeared in an MLB game so that have his rights. Really hoping so and it’s not a month from now.

Just cause he played in a game ,technically it doesnt mean they have his rights, again technically. He still has to give his rights to be in the game. Its a lot easier with current players than legends tho, he'll probably be in an update.

They havent said when the first update was going to be.cutoffs for updates has been tuesday night so he wouldnt have made in today if there is one.playing in a game makes him eligible to join the players union, he still has to do that before they can put him in the game

I would think he is in the next update whenever that is. May not be today (but I think it should be).

I think it was Jordan Hicks or maybe Alex Reyes for the Cardinals who was called up and it took them over a month to finally put him in the game.

Huh? Every big league player is a member of the MLBPA, unless decided differently which rarely ever happens unless you're a needy star player who thinks it's more beneficial to act alone (Barry Bonds). Every player who is part of the MLBPA will be in this game without negotiating for rights on an individual level.

We will likely get a transactions roster update today now that opening day rosters are set so he will likely receive his card but will be a generic blank player card

But Barry Bonds was a star in the league, Suzuki hasn't done anything yet. Doesn't make sense for him to not sign with the MLBPA and you could even argue the case that it wasn't beneficial for Bonds either.
