Can you have a secondary position?

I'm creating a new player and wanted to make a player who can play more than 1 position so like 3rd and 1st for example. Is there a way to set this up or are you locked into 1 spot unless you totally change position?

Looks like the answer is no, but there's one exception: if you're asked to change position during your career (e.g. promotion to majors not possible at your selected position). Someone said (in another thread) that the change is permanent: when you start a new career with the same ballplayer, the position is changed and you can't choose your original position, or any other position.

i got changed from 2nd to centerfield and it doesnt even make 2nd base a secondary.. 🤨
