Check swing spam is back

I just faced a guy who checked on every single ball all game and not one was called for a strike. I thought this was gonna be fixed this year, but again SDS can’t actually follow through with anything they promise.

I played my friend in a friendly game yesterday and he check swung 3+ times an at bat without a single one being called for a strike. It was a friendly so it didn’t mean anything but all I could do was laugh

Only choice is to pitch it to the strikezone and they hammer everything. I hate the [censored] check swinging bs cause every call is a no swing

This is from 19. Not called a swing. How in the world can SDS not get this right? It's a computer program. It should be able to tell if it's a swing or not.

That's amazing, because my experience has been the exact opposite. Majority of times, I purposely check swing, I get called on the check swing, or at times even swings through the pitch,, and not because of a called strike. It's happened across all players, regardless of their attributes that would contribute to this. Training myself to be more disciplined to not check swing at all, but still.

Check swinging is not meant to be RNG and has mostly input based.
Maybe they are actually checking their swings?

Actually, it is supposed to be based on the discipline attribute and SDS stated that the ability to check was going to be reduced this year.

Same here, just going off memory which can be faulty, but it's pretty close to a 50/50 split for me.

I dont know why this isn't more of an out cry in the forums. People cry about pitching but fixing this would improve pitching by so much. Actually holding a player accountable for hitting that button makes you think more about hitting the [censored] button. But by all means let them hit that thing every single pitch and watch him check on every ball out of the zone and hit home runs on early good contact on low change ups because I cant bury one with consistency and threw 7 straight foul offs then finally a change up hangs up on a perfect release is the way to go though. I can see why you chose this option SDS.
