Difficult is out of whack in certain games

So I’ve noticed that the difficulty setting is not consistent in ranked. I played a game that was clearly on rookie at 600 level - every at bat was homerun for both opponents, you couldn’t not get perfect perfect. Other games in same rank neither person could get a hit and fastballs were steaming fast , over what hof is against cpu. There must be s coding glitch as far as determining the difficulty settings online? Anyone else experience this?

I’ve played on HOF 6 games and the speeds are fast. But I have noticed in a few games of ranked where it seems the ball is coming a little faster then the pitcher should throw.
