Switch Successfully Linked

I got it successfully linked. I didn’t realize I’d lose my 25k stubs from my Xbox digital deluxe version . I knew I probably wouldn’t get the preorder stubs from the switch version. Do you think it would be smart just to unlink and buy like 25k worth of players on my Xbox then link again?

Nevermind, I see I still have my 25k extra stubs when I sign in to my Xbox DD just 25k less when I’m on the switch but can still grind

That’s up to you, but I think it would be more economical to make your account that has all your stuff from your DD version as your main account. That way your able to use it. Remember, when you link, your stuff doesn’t combine, you use what’s in your main account and progress forward from there. And, you didn’t lose the stubs. They are still there, you just have to unlink to see them.

Kewl! The Switch is like your child…you don’t ever give them all of your money. They can live in your house, eat your food, dress in the clothes you buy them, sleep in the bed you give them, but they don’t have your ATM card. Keep in mind also, any stubs you buy from Nintendo won’t be available on your XBox and vice-versa if you buy stubs from Microsoft. Stubs are proprietary to their originating platform.

You just need to launder your stubs. Make 25k in purchases in Xbox. Then sell those cards. The stubs are now considered "earned" and can be used on any linked platform. No need to unlink to do this either.

Nice! Or just keep the cards and use them. Once they are part of your inventory, they are shared.

Thanks for the help today! I’m good if I have 25k less when I’m on the switch as long as I can still access them on my Xbox account. Having to link and unlink them every time would have been annoying, so I’m glad I can still access the 25k extra on my console without unlinking.

I feel like a lot of the frustration and confusion could have been solved with just a little honestly from SDS, along with better wording in their FAQ. I know for a fact that Swith pre-order bonuses (the cards from the packs) can be used on Xbox. I double checked this morning and my full team including those cards were there. I think what they meant to say is that you can't stack preorder bonuses with Switch like you apparently can on Xbox and Playstation. Not a problem for me since I'm going with the free Game Pass version.
Once things settle down and they aren't so slammed, I'll have to put in another ticket or something regarding the account linking process. Right now they are just sending out canned responses and they arent even reading/comprehending messages.
I got my PS5 progress for 21 back, but I can't link my Playstation without losing progress in 21 again since Switch is my primary for 22. I've left it unlinked for now which means i cant play 21 on my Xbox with my progress anymore. They really need to fix that for future games. At some point, people are going to go from purchasing the digital deluxe on one console one year to a different console the next year. Maybe they care about losing content in an old game, maybe they don't. At any rate, SDS should be able to allow you to choose a primary platform for each year of the game. They probably just didn't think of it.

I agree. Pictures in the FAQ would have helped a lot of people too. I'm assuming that you bought the MVP or DD edition for your Switch and that's why you made it primary. Otherwise, if you made your PS primary, you'd have access to 21.

That's correct. 21 was Playstation Digital Deluxe paired with Game Pass. I had purchased prior to the Game Pass announcement. It didn't make sense to do that again this year since I found out about 22 on Game Pass prior to pre-ordering, and the Series X and PS5 experience is pretty comparable. Even though I will play on Xbox 90% of the time, I got the Digital Deluxe on Switch since I wanted the pre order bonuses and the convience of occasional portability, plus I knew content would all transfer over with cross progression.
The only wrinkle so has been the 21 issue, which isn't a huge deal, but its a bad sign of things to come. If 23 doesnt come to Game Pass and I want to go with PS5 again instead (i like the controller better) then i cant without losing everything in 22. It's just a stupid issue with irritates the hell out of me because it was easily avoidable. I just hope they're not continuing to build on a bad system which will come back to bite them like Sony and PSN names back at the start of PS3.

I was able to link my profile, but at the same time lost my stubs. Anyway to have them returned?
Unlink and then when you relink, choose the account that has your stubs as your main account. You haven’t lost them, they are not available because you didn’t choose that account as your main one.
No matter what I do it shows accounts with no progress to choose from even though I am level 5 on Switch. All my accounts are linked. I buoght the Switch version and prgressed a lot but now after linking my Xbox account the Xbox shows no progress. Hoping I just have to wait I guess.

If you have progressed on both your Switch and your XBox, then you will have to decide which account you want to have as your main one and progress from there. Or, unlink them and just play on both.
Your best bet is to unlink your accounts. Get into them to see where each one is and then decide which one you want as your main account. Then relink them, choosing the account you want as your main, and then move on from there.

Thanks so much for your help, but when I go to link my xbox account after linking my switch account(my primary). The Switch never pops up as a choice to continue progression. Only Xbox and The Show account.

OK IT WORKED!
I figured out what confused me. On the website the Switch option has a THE SHOW icon.... Its actually the Switch account I just didn't read the text underneath it.
Also for everyone having issues it didn't work for me until I used the actual website on a computer. My phone didn't always pop up the account option.
Thank you man!

The Show account isn't going to show as an option to progress because it is only there to hold all of the other accounts together. It isn't used to play the game.
It seems odd to me that if you have all of your accounts unlinked and then link the Switch, that when you go to link the XBox, the Switch isn't going to show. I think your next step is a ticket to SDS to see if there is a problem with your accounts (The Show, XBox, and Nintendo).

AWESOME! That's good to know about the computer vs. mobile sites being different. That may be a lot of people's problems. I'll keep that in mind the next time someone says they can't get it to work.

With all the nightmare posts flying around about linking XBoxes and Switches to Playstations, I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to do it. Well, I'm here to tell you that it links just fine and there are no problems. I have my current progression on both my PS5 and my Switch. In case anyone needs to know, here is what I did:
- I started MLBTS22 on my Switch and set it up as its own game (including creating a My Ballplayer).
- I accepted the terms and conditions
- I clicked on the icon by my name and clicked through the tutorial.
- I clicked on Link Account under the My Profile Screen
The Switch then generated a code for me to enter into my The Show account.
- I logged into my The Show account and entered the link code.
- I got a screen asking me which account I wanted to continue my progression on.
- I chose my PS account.
- It then told me that there was a discrepancy in the My Ballplayer on my Switch and on the server and asked which one I wanted to keep. I chose the My Ballplayer from my PS5 (the one on the server).
- I then quit the game and went back into it and everything was perfect.
- I logged out of my The Show account and logged into my PS account and checked the marketplace and inventory on the web and everything was perfect.
- I logged into the game on my PS5 to verify and everything is perfect.
It all works just as they said it would. Also, the error I was getting when logging into my Nintendo account (before tonight) on theshow.com now redirects me to the screen showing my accounts and which ones are linked.
Do DD squads combine? If they do, my teams will be scary!
