are you serious?? pitching is like a chess match...if you dont have to aim location on where ball is and lettting the cpu do it for you than that is a competitive advantage. You literally dont have to aim and can just time it and be rewarded when contact and power is 99 . dont tell yme youre this clueless
It not like the cpu is placing pci perfectly every time. There is far more randomness to directional (which I assume we are talking about) hitting than there is in zone.

in zone you actually have to aim and make contact...when you have guys with 90+ contact and power they will make solid contact more times than not. You cant be serious either. Its not placing it perfectly..but you also dont have to worry about where ball is. I can throw fb up in and get a guy in a rhythm...then throw low and away and cuz hes not aiming he can just time it andget contact. this isnt that difficult to figure out the competitive advantage of timing only.
Do you use auto aim on shooter games????

As someone who has used both extensively, zone is the only input that rewards players at all. Timing and directional are a complete [censored] shoot, and they almost never reward users with solid hits.
Did you complain about analog hitting last year? "timing" is just analog hitting, they simply changed the name as they allow you to use buttons or the analog stick this year.

Not everyone can play zone for a multitude of reasons. Accessibility is important.

You are at an extreme disadvantage using directional hitting. If your opponent is crushing baseballs left and right I can 100% guarantee they are using Zone.

bad seed..online competitve games shouldnt cater to those who cant play. They can play offline but if you have a competitive setting for an online game it needs to be even.
On lower levels...which is all star til the last 3 division.
the dragon. you can see who is and who isnt by swing feedback. If they are crushing pitches all over the zone they are def using timing only. And you cant really use power swing with zone due the decreased pci....ith a99 power guy you can just swing power and have no disadvantage. 0-2 sliders off plate are being pulled for home runs. its unrealistic and timing only is pure garbage. RBI is still available.

I don't think you've really used directional/timing on difficulties higher than veteran. I can't tell you how frustrating it is when my guys pop up or flat out miss good timing swings on pitches over the plate. Also on directional your timing window is smaller than playing with zone. With zone you can foul off more than you can with directional.
I would love to be able to pull home runs on pitches off the plate away with a power swing, but I almost never power swing because guys miss way more than they make contact.

directional is different than timing....and try power swinging every time and get better timing and youll see

Listen op I checked out you game history and based on what I am seeing no way is this a type of hitting system that is play here. You my dude are just losing and in some case losing while being no hit. Doesn't really matter what hitting style they use if you can't get a hit.

Doesn’t sound like that at all. He simply wants Online to be competitive without someone relying on the game to help them out…..it’s already bad enough with the high amount of RNG.
Put directional with directional and zone with zone matchups. It’s really a simple suggestion.

It does sound like that, all you have to do is look at his claims like not even elite players can hit .300 with every batter unless it's zone.

no hit? you saw my last game...and i was over it when he hit a hr in the opposite batters box for a homerun. and i have a winning record...and most these losses are to people who swing and everything..and since pitches on 0-2 like to hang for no reason they hit hrs when they shouldnt. look completely cluless then hit a 430 ft bomb cuz of timing only

Go look at the game history, I don't care what hitting system is being used when you get no hit or 1 hit in a game you are not going to win

Yep, here it is, the annual "I'm getting beat by guys using directional/timing/analog/RNG input methods"...
Only one method allows you to hit pitches at the ankles or near the ears for a bomb on a consistant basis: zone.
Use timing for 10 games and see how you do... I bet you won't get past the 3rd inning of your first game before reverting back; it sucks.
