Installed on child account
-
We installed the MVP edition on my son’s account and when launching the PS5 version on my main account it says I am unable to play it and need to purchase the game.
Does anyone know how to resolve this? Family sharing should be enabled correct?

Sharing is only enabled for the main account. Make your sons PSN account the primary for that console and you should be able to download it.
However you may have to lift any parental controls.

I'm pretty sure in order to do Family Sharing you have to install the game on the primary account.
So if your account is primary; then you would have had to install it on that account.

And also put a PS+ in that account if he was sharing from the parent's account.

There's a setting on the PS5 you can change that enables anyone to play games installed on other accounts on the same console. Look at that in his account settings.

Ok so simply uninstalling and reinstalling on the main won’t work because the ps5 code has already been used?

I wouldn't think so, though you could call GameStop and ask since they deal with codes. (But beware, not everyone who answers the phone there will know the answer.)
