New program has absolutely killed NMS

"Impossible", you say?
Can we give it at least 16 hours before we make declarative statements like that?
-
It hasn’t killed NMS and neither has Madden. Madden just feels less rewarding for the grind and that appears to be the direction here, too, though it is too early to be sure.
In Madden, solo grinding no longer gets you cards that you can sell nor use in your lineups. That isn’t true for this game, yet.

Right! Grind is ridiculous...I'd rather Replay Showdown over and over again and call myself NMS.

What showdowns could you replay for progress? Other than RIB?
Last year you could replay a showdowns for each division for team affinity players for program points, now it’s just one showdown that gives you xp ONE time

In a few weeks when SDS starts handing out FotF choice packs as rewards in conquest and showdown and on featured program timelines, will anyone come back here and admit they overreacted? Probably not.
This is absolutely no different than the old inning boss structure — you get 1 for free and have buy them other two. But people are acting like this is the end of the freaking world lol

Forgot about the Showdown voucher exchange. Thought you meant the Inning Showdowns.

You just haven’t played the game for long if you think this new grind for this program is how things used to be, you used to be able to replay showdowns and grind. They have changed things COMPLETELY.it’s early maybe they will bring something, but replayable showdowns or something needs to come back. Or else you’ll grind for a card that isn’t sellable that you might not even use lol. You grind all that time get an unsellable sean murphy then the program switches.

We're still in early access we have no idea what they will add in the next 4 weeks of this program.
But I realize that preaching patience is futile to those who just want to shout at everyone that the sky is falling.

I’ll be NMS again this year mostly because it was a lot more fun to play that way. I kinda thought NMS was actually a little too easy in 21’ but thats me. Challenge is a good thing.
-
NMS was to easy last year. Now that it is harder this year it makes it more fun.

um... no it doesn't.
-
Just play the conquest map that rewards 5 packs for beating 3 strongholds. Farm that.

Yeah ease keep this same energy when you lose to everybody who spends crazy money in ranked lol

Absolutely. Now I did just finish, got an error, lost my 5 packs, but I will open up a ticket and move on. Like @SchnauzerFace said, we'll get some free packs at some point as a mea culpa. And... he's right in that half the group will lose their collective minds... "They're not SELLABLE".
I will be fine as a NMS. I'm taking the time to learn the new programs. Adapt or wait until MLB 23.
P.S. I'm guessing MLB 23 will be completed different too.
-
People would be able to grind more if they didn't make 5 topics comparing SDS to EA on day 1 of early access.

That’s fine to make it a challenge, but when you grind nonstop and you end up with a sean fkn murphy that isn’t sellable that you won’t use one bit. That’s a lot of grinding for nothing, and not how this game used to be. Maybe they will add a replayable showdown or something like last year, but as it is this is not a good look for the loyal ppl to this game and how the layout used to be. This new program is not good

Almost like the servers are on maintenance right now. I’m simply pointing out what a lot of the community is talking about. They have changed things and it’s NOT for the better. You just haven’t played this game long obviously.

I assume you didn't watch the stream or you watched and didn't pay attention.
They more or less said that people abused TA last year and used it as the main way to get the best cards and that isn't how DD was meant to be.
TA was supposed to be something to play in-between content drops.
Not to play Showdown repetitively so you can complete the program ASAP.
I stated in another post if you were decent enough to skip to the last boss and beat them; you could complete a showdown in 15 mins. If the program was 150 pts long per division and you got 30 pts per Showdown; you you finish a division in a little over an hour.
They wanted to stop that.
But if you're still upset that you can't cheat the system for quick XP; just head to YouTube. I'm sure there are a few videos already, by content creators, that show how you can play the CPU for an hour just by walking in runs and get up to 75K in XP.
You're complaint about having to actually play the game as it was intended instead of being able to abuse the system by playing one thing for hours on hours.
