Is anybody over the top crazy about the major collections?

Don't get me wrong The Big unit looks good and all but I have zero thought of even spending real money tonight to try to get any of these collections done. Frank Thomas is a great hitter but he is a first baseman that will be a dime a dozen in a couple weeks and Roberto Clemente is a cool overall card but last year it played awful seeing as it's power or nothing in this game. He might be better at the beginning of the game cycle with the lower end pitchers but I have absolutely no reason to not be no money spent as of now and I hate saying that because I usually spend a little bit of money but I don't see a reason to right now. I'm interested to see where the extra inning boss cards come into play since we don't have any bosses this year there has to be other programs or more event rewards or something down the line to make up for those extra 30 cards of inning bosses we are losing out on. That is if they do team affinity the same way all year as they are in the first couple programs.

Was kind of curious why they went with an MVP award card for the second straight year. Now that Signature, Milestone and Prime are all kind of considered the top, they had other choices than repeating.

I won’t be in a hurry to complete it. Aside from Randy, Utley looks most intriguing this year. He should be replaced by Jackie soon enough though.

I suck with Frank, no interest in him for me whatsoever. Clemente could be fun for a while though. His card in 21 was actually pretty good just way outclassed by the time he released. Randy's usability depends completely on how they handle H/9 with starters

None of the 3 give me a real itch to get grinding / get them done ASAP….I wanted chipper and Mickey mantle BAD the last 2 years.

I’m meh with frank too. Clemente won’t be a game changer unless they make contact hitters meaningful. Clemente could be outclassed by less than a month.

This group is definitely a downgrade from 19-21

Chipper was an amazing choice last year. Switch hitter, with a good swing and played two of the weaker positions in terms of depth. He was on my team till the end. However, they can't all be like this. Randy looks amazing and I know people hate pitchers, but he has the potential to be in your rotation the rest of the year. Frank is nice, similar to Papi last year, but 1st is a loaded position. Clemente is a huge name who will be great for a while but because of the depth at OF and his lack of pop with get replaced quick. I don't hate the 99s. Now some of the lower collections are head scratchesrs. Last year, even some of division and team collection rewards were very usable for while. I didn't see that with any that have been reveal this year, so far.

I'll do it because I want to complete the collections and This year does not compare to TS21. IMPO.

Have they ever had a 99 OVR All-Star, Veteran, Post Season, or Rookie card before? I would assume those types of cards are reserved for lower to mid range Diamonds.
