3 Way wild card tie.

I'm trying to wrap my head around this, or maybe SDS messed up how this works. So in my Franchise for 2021 my Blue Jays, Chicago White Sox and Oakland As all tied at the end of the season at 85-77. So for testing reasons I wanted to see how it would work out, I advanced to October 4th where I'm suppose to play the White Sox...I simmed it and The Jays won...then the next game in the schedule is the Oakland As for the actual Wild Card game. From my understanding, since the White Sox lost the game with the Jays, weren't they suppose to play Oakland for the second wild card spot?. The game automatically made the As the other wild card team..that makes no sense unless I'm missing something.

That is odd, my only guess would be they decided that the A's were the top of those 3 teams with tiebreakers and then Jays and White Sox were playing for the right to play the A's in the actual wild card game.
The real question is, with the CBA not getting done til so late will this years game have the new playoff brackets or last year's? -

The real question is, with the CBA not getting done til so late will this years game have the new playoff brackets or last year's?I just did another test to see what happens if I lose to Chicago and it turns out my season was over...so no matter what Oakland is automatically a wild card team. Maybe its based on some tie breaker rule made up by SDS cause in the season series Oakland swept Chicago and I won 2 out of 3 from them. When I looked up actual MLB 3 team tie breaker situation, the loser of the first game was suppose to play Oakland to determine the second wild card team.

Just for fun, here’s some tiebreaker craziness in extra innings:
