New Legends Feel a Little Underwhelming?

Randy Johnson is amazing but I feel like the rest are a little bit underwhelming. I watched the careers of Jared Weaver and Kevin Youkoulous and the were fun, great players, but I wouldn’t really call them legends.
Like DD content has to be really good this year because gameplay seems similar from what I’ve heard (granted, this isn’t a bad thing because gameplay was good before) but maybe they figured they’d save Jeter for another year because they can rely on the Ohtani hype to sell copies? Either way still excited for the game

I think the issue is also the term "legend" most people will associate that to guys like Mantel, Ruth ect and not Weaver and Youk but the tern is correct in the use.
That said I think this game it running out of the big name legends that would sell a game which is a good commentary on how well they do getting them in the game. Yes some have been lost like Cobb and Williams.
Hopefully we reach a place here soon where the idea of putting steroid linked players in the game isn't a bad thing and we can get some more of the guys that are more like legends of the game in like Clemens and McGuire

Legends means retired player Kierian. I'm excited for all but Weaver of the new legends really. These are guys I watched play. Are they going to be top tier meta lineup guys, no. They sooner we get away from that mindset and just use the cards we like I think everyone will enjoy this game more. People will claim that cards are "unusable" but they are unusable because the gameplay is how it is, not because their attributes aren't as good

I'm betting there is a big one coming, probably revealed in the stream Thursday.

They save the best reveals for later. Most of what we are seeing now will be low diamonds that we will probably see early as rewards. Probably most will start with high 80's diamonds.
C'mon SDS, even though I am a big Molina fan I would love a switch hitting Ted Simmons card.

Like someone else said it's hard when they classify any retired player in game as a Legend because while they may technically be "Legend" players a lot of them aren't necessarily legendary

Bonds & Clemens may or may not be on the "Do Not Touch with a 10 Foot Pole" list because ... well, we know why.
Outside of them, there's really not that many Top Legends left that aren't already in (or were in) the game. Mel Ott and Tris Speaker were great and all, but are THOSE the legends we're knocking down doors for?
Out of the Top 50 career WAR guys, the only ones we're lacking that I have any interest in are Arod, Yaz, Frank Robinson, and Carlton.

Could still be more legends to come, either during the DD feature premiere or later in the season. That’s my hope anyway.
Wilson and Mussina are new as well. Seems like a lot of pitchers.

Out of the Top 50 career WAR guys, the only ones we're lacking that I have any interest in are Arod, Yaz, Frank Robinson, and Carlton.
We are pretty much at the point were the only legends left are steroid guys or personal fan favorites of the guys complaining about legends being underwhelming(Looking at you, Jeter and David Wright). Almost all of the big big name all-timers are in except the guys you named and Dimaggio. I expect some year they will just sneak Cobb, Hornsby and Ted back in like they did with Greene and Baines in 21. (Fisk and Berra fall into this as well)

Pete Rose can be added to the do not touch list as well

I would love to have Enos Slaughter(he used to be in the game), Red Schoendienst(my great grandma was friends with his sister), and Buster Posey cause I loved his card last year

Just because someone retired doesn't make them a "legend". Really waters down the word.
What else would you rather the game call them? Just "former player"? It's just a catch all word for this games purposes don't take it at face value

They're retired. They're not active players so they are in fact legends. This is the cause of getting old.

I still want Maris and Javy Lopez. Add Dave Stieb, arguably one of the most dominant but underrated pitchers, and bring back Yogi just cause I like him. Maybe even guys like Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders would be at least fun to have. Nomar Garciaparra is one I feel could be coming this year. Dale Murphy (who should be a HOFer). Could add Torii Hunter and his incredible glove. Add Francoeur.

Tbh I’m more concerned with list of legends who aren’t returning than the new legends they are adding. Last year we lost Cobb, Hornsby, Williams, Buerhle and probably more I don’t remember. I really hope we don’t lose that many big names again (even though I could never hit with Ted).
Maybe next year they can finally work something out with the Negro Leagues legends. I know I sound like a broken record at this point, but I would do unspeakable things for a Josh Gibson card. Unspeakable. Like, whatever you’re imaging, that’s just the tip of the iceberg of what I would do in order to get Josh Gibson in this game. Or for one date with Anne Hathaway. Either one would be fine. Actually, forget the Gibson thing. I can always just make a CAP. I’ll take the date with anne please. (Also, she should know that she’s paying. And I’m a vegetarian but I am still ordering the lobster. Just so she knows I’m not effing around here.)
